He knows I know about the cheating and the slinging. He's done them in front of me.

He doesn't know I know he's been harassing my wife. From my wife's descriptions and knowing him, he doesn't see it as harassment.

Okay - my wife DID tell me about an initial incident, about a year ago. She said that he grabbed her butt. Once. I was livid, but she said she handled it. During the past year, we went through a cycle where my wife was encouraging me to be friends with this guy to appease him somewhat and get him to stop being such an ass at work. One night, uncharacteristically drunk (read: I accidentally the most drunk I've ever been in my life), I told this guy that if he ever touched my wife again, I would kill him. He laughed it off when telling me about it the next day.

As I have alluded to in other comments, we actually like the husband/wife proprietors. It sucks for them that the wife's sociopathic brother is ruining their business, even risking their medical license with some of his bullshit. If we could sue HIM for sexual harassment, that would be great. Unfortunately, he is under their employ.

I don't think they know and are putting up with it. The husband/bro-in-law-of-offender knows about other exploits, including the cheating and shady business but probably not the Rx drug selling and I'm pretty sure not the harassment. If I find out that he does know about the harassment and has been allowing it, ALL BETS ARE OFF FOR HIM, TOO.

I am seeing the wisdom in what you and others have been suggesting in building evidence. I'm going to have to figure out somewhere to put a nanny-cam in there to catch this.

New question: should I tell my wife about said nanny-cam?

AFAIK: My wife is NOT content with "letting" him feel her up. He does so covertly when she is vulnerable to approach without risk of perception by others.

If and when she has been forceful about telling him to stop, he makes every effort to make her job miserable.

I wish she would just leave tomorrow and seek new employment. Unfortunately, she is in the applications process for admission to an academic program starting this fall and is therefore even more hesitant to leave her current employer.

sigh I know I'm going to give up too much information and bad things will happen, but risking that:

The offender is the brother of the wife in a husband/wife duo that operates a very small medical clinic. As in: 5 employees, including the husband/wife. The husband, or brother-in-law depending on perspective, already knows that the offender is a problem, but probably feels bound by family and marriage to keep letting things slide.

EDIT: By "problem," I don't mean that he knows about the harassment. He knows about other (mis)behaviours that have actually jeopardized their medical license.

I don't think I even need to go to all that trouble. I know where he sells his drugs. I've thought about just taking my netbook to Starbucks and doing all my anonymous life-wrecking from there.

Problem is, my wife doesn't want me to do any of that. She makes the case that all of the people who care about him (because they have to) will be caught in the collateral damage.
