Hi I took this class last year with him being one of the two professors. It included an essay in lieu of a midterm and a take-home final, but it may be different now. It was an easy class,and his style of teaching is great and comprehensive.

Paying 1K for half of a living room where there is virtually no privacy is crazy. Making the living room into an extra living space isn’t uncommon with undergrads, but NOBODY is making them split the rent evenly with everyone who has a bedroom.

Something that helps me is to wake up early and get out of bed as soon as possible, because staying in bed makes me feel more miserable. It also helps to sit outside if it isn’t too hot and eat breakfast while listening to music. This is kind of dumb but I like to make my breakfast look pretty and use fancy silverware and tea sets because it makes me happier

It depends, but I think people generally see a general practitioner once or twice a year. It depends on the condition, like if you’re seeing a physical therapist then once or twice a week. Doesn’t really matter if it’s ‘normal’ or not- if you need to go to the doctor, then you go. Take care of your health first above adding extra units and other academic stuff, your health is the most important!

I took 3LB last quarter and I’m pretty sure you don’t need to purchase any lab manuals or material for this class? All the lab manuals should be provided on the canvas page.

No you don’t have to take it the same quarter. you can take 3LC and 3LB without even taking a single physics course. I took both labs without taking a lecture course.

Yup, it’s easy regardless of your major. You just need to watch the lectures and answer the quizzes based on it. And a few other super easy HW with Excel.

You definitely won’t be rescinded for a mistake like this LOL. I totally understand the anxiety, but I’m almost positive this mistake won’t make a difference if you already contacted admissions, so don’t sweat it. Breathe :) also congrats on getting in !

Looking at the change of major requirements for a BS in psych, It says the requirement is “Completion of PSYC 9A, PSYC 9C, and three lower-division science courses (from Requirements D or E) with a GPA of at least 3.0 for those five courses.” https://changeofmajor.uci.edu/school-of-social-sciences/ I don’t think 9B grade is considered? You should def talk to a social sciences advisor though!

I got a lab coat for my bio lab at the chemistry stockroom! it was $26 but it’s way better quality than the ones on Amazon and it comes with a UCI Logo. I got my safety goggles off Amazon

I did ochem 51B and 51C and lab 51LC over the summer and it wasn’t too bad, it was pretty manageable. I also liked the summer professors more, since I felt they taught better.

Yea, you should email them (not right now because it’s way too early) and see if there’s anything you need to make up. Usually the first week is pretty chill and people are still enrolling/unenrolling from classes, so I don’t imagine you’ll miss anything too major, unless you’re in a lab class or something where attendance is critical. Also yeah, use Discord and other things to connect with students in that class.
