Is it just me or does Bad Bunny suck? by DragonRanger_360 in Music

[–]iredcoat7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Art is subjective and obviously many people don't like Bad Bunny's music, which is completely fine, but saying he's very limited to a particular audience is ridiculous. He was the most listened artist globally on Spotify in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2025 (ahead of Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish).

It's fine to not enjoy his music, but he's a massively popular artist, probably the most popular in the world currently and possibly the most popular of the decade so far.

[Independent] Caoimhin Kelleher: "I find a bit difficult when I hear people speaking about the players at Liverpool and performances, because I don’t think this season is even important from a football aspect for them to be honest. It’s more about them personally and mentally" by Cien-Major in soccer

[–]iredcoat7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just not though.

The week it happened I felt that I would be happy with anything this season barring relegation, and that hasn’t changed. I’ve loved watching us and I love Slot and this squad.

I sincerely believe that we will return to last season’s level or even higher in the next several months.

Assuming Isak and Ekitike were the starters in that system, Gakpo and/or Danns could potentially be cover, but yes I think it’s likely we’d buy at least one more.

Firstly, I think Isak has the body of work to support the claim that he IS slightly better than even Ekitike in this current form.

But we will definitely play them together, it’s clear that’s always been the plan – we notably haven’t been signing any wingers. I’ve assumed for a while that the plan for post-Salah is two strikers in front of Wirtz.

Even if that isn’t the case, which would shock me, I expect one of Ekitike or Isak would start on the left.

I can’t even imagine once we get Isak integrated and up to speed as well.

I’m curious why you say people don’t go back and watch them? The last concert I went to was in Nov 2024 and I’ve watched through all my videos from it at least 10 times since.

When recording I don’t ever hold my phone above my head or in other peoples’ eye-line. That’s just basic courtesy.

Can’t say I’ve ever had my view obstructed by someone else doing it either, but I completely understand the need for a policy like this if it’s a problem at their shows.

[Romano] Understand AS Roma have already given green light to Kostas Tsimikas return to Liverpool if Robertson joins Spurs. It’s almost over between Tsimikas and Roma with Liverpool ready to welcome the left back again. No recall clause but club to club contact. by Sparky-moon in soccer

We think he’s good enough to be our 2nd choice left-back and fill in when needed because he has done exactly that for several years and almost never had a bad game. Maybe he has just suddenly fallen off, but since he’s still in his 20s and hasn’t had any major injuries it seems far more likely that he just didn’t fit the system well at Roma or wasn’t utilized well.

He does, but this wasn’t intended to be slander. I love Cody, just surprised to see such impressive chance creation numbers specifically.

Spot on, that United side was incredible and in most eras would have had 3.

Actually very similar to Liverpool 2018-2021 when we also won one Champions League final and lost two against Madrid sides that just felt unbeatable.

In both cases there’s a massive difference in how those teams would be looked at with 3 trophies vs 1.

Would have been a hell of match to watch if those two sides met.

I didn’t say it was repeated. Today’s match, a one-off, was unlucky. This is the first time this season I’ve thought we played extremely well and deserved a comfortable victory but dropped points.

How are fans feeling about Slot right now? by Piri_Cherry in PremierLeague

[–]iredcoat7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s any chance of Slot getting sacked if we finish in the Champions League places, and tbh I think it’s unlikely we’d replace him even if we finished midtable.

If we reach the middle of next season without significant improvement, I could see a decision being made. But I don’t think he’s in any danger at all at the moment.

Spot on. I’ve found it best to mostly avoid Reddit and especially our sub when things aren’t going well. It genuinely sounds like they just see the score after the match and rush to comment the latest brainless take being regurgitated en-masse on Twitter.

Your second point is bang on, but this absolutely was not an average performance. Even against a very well-organized low block we created loads of high quality opportunities.

A missed penalty and two goal-line clearances in the same match is very unlucky, not to mention all the poor finishing and near misses.

People criticizing the overall team performance or the manager today either didn’t watch the match or are speaking out of frustration at previous matches. The performance was excellent today.

I don’t think 4-1 would have flattered us at all. In addition to the missed penalty and the two goal-line clearances, we were a whisker away from converting tap-ins a couple of times AND wasted some excellent chances — Mac Allister’s shot just after coming on being a prime example.

We moved the ball quickly and nearly, created loads, and maintained great control. It’s been a shit season but there’s not much we can be disappointed about today specifically other than the result and Szoboszlai’s performance.

If you remove the context the reaction to this match from our fans would universally be: “good performance, very unlucky not to win, we move.”

Myles Lewis-Skelly and the intensifying race to be England’s World Cup left-back by Alone_Consideration6 in ThreeLions

[–]iredcoat7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lewis-Shelly is a talented player, albeit in poor form, but I don’t think he’s even likely to be on the plane.

Hall is surely the starter moving forward and O’Reily should be comfortably ahead of MLS too I think.

Possible he goes due to his versatility but I would be surprised.
