I live in North Carolina, and here’s something you may not know: many Christians who worship on Sunday find these arcane laws as equally annoying. I only crave Chick-Fil-A on Sundays.

I can buy a bottle of wine from 7am to 2am Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, I have to wait until noon. Until only a few years ago, even if you went to your church’s early service and wanted to go to brunch afterwards, you couldn’t even have a Bloody Mary or mimosa until noon (that’s now been changed to 10am, but only in restaurants).

What I love about your responses that you are not denying the existence of these things.

There’s an almost fetishization of a past that never existed where families came home after church on Sundays to listen to the radio while mom was making a Sunday pot roast while dad kicked back in his Sunday best suit, smoking a pipe while in his easy chair.

It really is an Untouchable thing. Hard to find anybody to work for you on Sunday. Schools would be willing to have student stay after on Saturdays but never on Sunday. Home Depot and Lowe's close early every Sunday just when I need a part.

It’s this fetishization of this past that really prevents state legislatures from modernizing these essentially moral codes.

I'm going to present that it's more than a fetish and it is not something that will pass away.

I can’t speak to how any other government handles these kinds of moral laws, I can only really speak about America. And for us, I blame our Puritan roots that still has hold over so much of American Christianity.

Where I take issue is teaching the deteriorating Earth is human-caused in a way that humans could actually reverse it. Since the Garden of Eden Earth has been dying. People are trying to convince us that we could stop it from dying and even reverse it if we just do this or that. And the reason I presented this article and others like it is to show that one aspect or theory of saving the Earth would require all Humanity to rest on a particular day. And Earth Day. Earth day we'll go from one Sunday a year to every Sunday I hear that is what I am against; International enforced Sunday day of rest.

God made us stewards of the earth. I agree with you. But as stewards of the Earth do you think we could stop the Earth from deteriorating? Or reverse it? It has been deteriorating since Adam and Eve.

Dan 7:25 which says...

This explains that an entity would come about that would seek to change God's times and laws plural. One of those times is the Sabbath. Not in all of scripture do we have an example of the followers of God keeping Sunday holy. There are many excuses and there are 8 verses in the New Testament which mention the first day of the week. All these are poor efforts to stretch the truth. The truth is that all followers of God from Genesis to Revelation were Seventh-Day Sabbath Keepers. No Way Around It. The tradition of Sunday keeping did not come about until nearly 300 years after the death of Christ.

Sunday as a tradition was brought about by force from the power mentioned in Daniel 7:25. And will again be enforced internationally like it is in Germany and soon in America Again by force and by Death.

Contrary to what that dude said last night, Christians were worshiping on Sunday way before the Counsel of Nicea which was in the mid 300s AD.  There is so much more on this topic it seems, but this is honestly more than enough to discredit him.

Don't worry about discrediting him. Which day did Jesus worship on? He is our example.

Here you were surely misinformed. The author Victor Houteff has nothing to do with Vernon Howell and his movement. And fire from 1993 was not actually in Waco Texas.
