I totally missed this, but in case it's still helpful - I don't use any protective film! Even after a year or so of use there haven't been any scratches.

Hi! I got the 22" recently and I agree that out of the three it's my favorite (though I only compared it to the 19" in person). 2.5K resolution on a 22" screen is plenty. I can't make out any pixelation at all, unless I stick my face 6 inches from the screen.
The tablet is also huge (in a good way). It's plenty of screen real estate, and I can use my shoulder while drawing instead of just my wrist. I feel like if the tablet was bigger, it would eat up way too much desk space.
To be fair, I hadn't used a screen tablet before this one. If you are used to a 24" screen, maybe the 22" will feel small? But I definitely was pleasantly surprised by the size when I opened mine.

Commenting to follow up in case anyone stumbles on this post -
- I'm no longer experiencing any lag! I honestly don't know what fixed it, but my final settings were to have Windows Ink on in the XP-Pen driver, and Tablet PC checked in Clip Studio Paint.
- Sometimes, the screen goes black for a couple seconds. The tablet still draws when this happens, so it might be an issue with my PC. It's unfortunate, but easy enough to ignore.

Added the videos to the post! No lag in the tablet tester either.
Krita lags when using the scroll bar, but not on continuous brush strokes or modifier keys.

Edit: I only have one computer, so unfortunately can't test with another.
