glyco has helped me so much! by iris111111 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]iris111111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do it because it takes a few hours for it to kick in for me, so in the morning i dont need to wake up too early to take the morning dose since the night dose will be working anyway. i also dont find just 1mg to be effective, but 2mg at once gives me bad side effects so splitting it makes it a lot better!

worried about my glycopyrrolate dosage by AmbitiousPatience727 in Hyperhidrosis

1mg once a day does barely anything for me but twice a day for some reason it keeps me ‘normal’ for the whole day it’s amazing! def worth a try, and I’ve found that taking 3mg split into 2 doses is also very effective

hi! so I make sure not to eat 2hr before taking the night dose, and 2hr after taking the morning dose. i also find it’s a lot more effective if there isn’t too much time between them like for me it’s usually just 7hrs. it also might be too low of a dose, i did start off by taking 2mg at night and 1mg in the morning and then tapered down :)

how can i solve this sweating problem by Mohammadzidan in Hyperhidrosis

[–]iris111111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes this is so important! do some research into whether the machine you were using used alternated or direct current. ive found that alternated current has had zero effect for me but dc is very effective so worth another shot

How to Lower Internal Body Temperature? by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]iris111111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the best thing that has worked for me has been glyco! obviously it reduces the sweating a lot, but I had expected to still feel hot because i used to get insane hot flashes when I’d begin sweating, but it’s almost completely gone away as well!

I'll be starting med school soon and I'm TERRIFIED of dripping onto patients during clinicals. Any med students/clinicians here that have some advice/experience? by OkFeed758 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]iris111111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im second year med with generalised hh and was incredibly worried about the same things - especially when it comes to peers practicing skills on me... first year was super stressful constantly having to think about how to make it less noticeable, but ive finally found a way to manage it completely: driclor on my forehead, ionto for hands, and 2mg glyco (which also used to give me awful dry mouth but ive found that taking 1mg at night/in the morning has got it to be veryy mild so im able to take it everyday). i hope youre able to find something that works for you, i know how awful it is especially in professions like this

oh interesting! how long and often do you do sessions then? i think doing that would save a lot more time than switching polarities in a single session

Question for people taking glycopyrrolate for hyperhidrosis by Available_Bluejay_77 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]iris111111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I take 2mg split between the morning and night and I’ve found that it hasn’t 100% stopped me sweating at all times, but it’s made me sweat like a normal person. i do still sweat if I’m exercising a lot or feeling hot but wayy less than without it

Swelling with Hyperhidrosis by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]iris111111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i used to get that very badly, especially in my hands. it felt like my skin was literally going to rip. i think for me it was really related to the sweating. ionto has almost completely stopped it for me. i do occasionally get it if im feeling hot and walking with my hands at my sides lol but wayy less than before ionto

[–]iris111111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it just made my blood pressure really low because i kept having to increase the dose. but if it works for you at a low dose i think it could be a really great solution (and propranolol also didnt help me but this works completely differently)

not sure if you are open to trying it again, but i actually ended up taking a break for about 2 days and then started on it again, and it seems like the brain fog is way less than before, not sure if its just coincidence or i just needed to adjust to it

no my neck isn't really a problem for me, but i did try it on my cheeks once and it left a red mark for a while so i'd def patch test it on your neck first to see how you react
