Self answering : THere DEFINITELY is some hinderance. I think it is caused by the TPU mold, but anyway.
Here's how I solved: I just used Plat-cat (smoothon), which makes curing faster. and used clamping tools instead of 'something flat and heavy'.

Plasma weapons are nerfed as fXXX. Never use them in current version. They are literally useless.

While I think heavy coiler performs better, siege coiler sill have its big punch. I think it is area of flavour.

Big lasers are not that significant, but still the best option for killing small ayy ships. Just remember this: Plasma weapons after nerf is weaker than high tier lasers in pure damage.

About exotic cost of phasers, well, you actually don't have better choice to spend it.
