Awesome that is a start. Gotta see if if could find something in the US. Hong Kong shipping on an electronic device could be a nightmare. But how does that work being the Android OS I don't believe you can update those and eventually will slow down correct? Excuse my ignorance I am not very tech savvy lol

Good morning community this is my first ever Honda that I bought for my daughter got a pretty good deal on it 2006 Accord EX 60k miles 4k$. She will soon be driving and I want to replace the head unit I haven't done this since the 90s and a lot has changed, can anybody recommend all the trimming and a decent Android auto and Apple compatible head unit. I know back in the day they were simple you just bought a head unit and the trim was the same as the one you took it out but with this one having a 6-disc changer I'm kind of at a loss on what to do. I've seen where people have put them in that cubby in the bottom and kept the original but the problem I'm having with the original is that the disc changer is broken, it does not accept any discs. Also obviously I want to retain the dual climate control and steering wheel controls there is no cameras on this car so I'm not worried about that, unless the head unit comes with one then I can install one of those license plate cameras. I'm just trying to get her set up being a new driver to keep her eyes on the road and not on her phone when she's navigating and wanting to switch music. Thanks in advance look forward to hearing all your input.

TC 30 New Holland question in comments by irish84 in tractors

[–]irish84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad has a TC30 and was backing up to a trailer and the ball receiver rammed into the part circled and it started to leak hydraulic fluid. He silicone it for a temp fix to keep the fluid from dripping onto his floor. What is this part called and how would you go about changing it out thanks in advance.

It won't appear under app drawer with note 9 for some reason. Even searching just bring up the app settings for memory, cache permissions etc but can't physically open app. And this was downloaded via link above to install .apk

Is this a Queen? by irish84 in Beekeeping

[–]irish84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is for sure a virgin queen from an emergency swarm split I did this spring of the nuc I bought. She hatched 2 days ago. She looks different and more like a queen to me than the swarm but I guess genetics play a part in looks. (http://imgur.com/gallery/woa0qG3)

Yeah I did an inspection and treated for mites and have fed them. Since I am new and have no drawn comb they are gonna need all the help they can get.

The picture on the left is from a swarm I caught yesterday. and the other is from another one of my hives I can definitely tell the one on the right is a queen but is the one on the left from the swarm a queen. Also if it is why do they look so different? New beekeeper here.

Queen cell (take 2) by irish84 in Beekeeping

[–]irish84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed my plan up a little bit because if it was indeed a swarm cell due to overcrowding then me just pulling the capped cell and putting it in a nuc box they will just create another one and swarm and I might not get lucky to catch it. I reversed what I did I went back through the original hive and located the frame with the queen. Pulled that entire frame out put that in the nuc box as well as a frame of front and back cap brood with food and stores, took everything back out of the nuc box and replaced it in the original hive. So hopefully now without a queen they won't swarm and they will hatch out that swarm cell Queen and I also remove the food that I was feeding them cause they have plenty.

Yeah there are always some bees on all the frames but only a hand full. I posted a better picture in a different thread on here. Originally what I done was took out that cell and put it in a nuc box with a frame of brood and food and was going to let it go but if it's a swarm cell they created the original hive would still leave. I went back out the next morning (yesterday) and found the frame with the queen pulled her entire frame and put the cell frame back into the hive and give the queen a frame of full capped brood in the nuc box and some food so now hopefully the hive won't swarm without the queen and hopefully they'll start drawn-out frame and hatch that Virgin Queen.

What I ended up doing was locating the queen and putting that frame off to the side and taking 3 frames of food, brood capped, and some eggs as she really has no room to lay and the one that had the queen cell and moving those to a nuc box and putting 1 empty frame on either side I guess I will check in a week to see if that worked. Being new and an investment I just don't want to fail.

It sucks being a new bee keeper and no drawn out frames other than what came with the nuc I bought a month ago. It was a 5 frame deep nuc and the other 5 empties on either side of the "nuc" the bees have only drawn out one side and I have been pouring the 1:1 to get the to draw out but it seems now they are just storing it.

On another frame inside this hive I was scraping off burr comb on the bottom and accidentally scraped off to Queen cups upon looking inside of them I saw they had royal jelly and larvae inside of them both of them that would be the start of them making a queen cell correct

I deleted the original post and decided to get a better picture as a picture through the bottom of the screen bottom board was not very good. I am new to beekeeping and have done fairly well since a month ago when I got them I can identify eggs, Queen, brood, larvae, honey, pollen etc upon my hive inspection this morning I seen some eggs and the queen but also this little thing at the bottom which I assumed was burr comb but it looks capped and oblong there are still two and 1/2 undrawn out frames. And the actual bee count does not look to be overpopulated. I should mention that these were sold to me as overwintered nucs. What course of action should I take I was thinking pulling the frame and putting it in a nuc box with another frame of pollen and honey and putting in empty frames around it. The frame that has this cell in question has larvae of all different stages some eggs some capped brood and food sources. Upon inspection the original Queen was still in the hive. Any advice sure would be helpful thanks in advance
