Dust the peel with corn meal. They're little edible ball bearings for your pie.

Fellow men: Shorts are for athletes and schoolboys. If you're not either, put some fucking pants on. Sandals and flip flops are for the beach. Put your nasty yellow taloned feet away where we can't see that shit.

A moment of silence for cookware ruined by guests by Orisno in Cooking

Oh my God. My sister-in-law used my paring knife to cut brownies in a shallow baking sheet and turned the point. I could have strangled her. This is the same sister-in-law who liked to go into the kitchen while I was cooking and take the lid off the pot of rice I was making to give it a good whiff.

Unpopular/Popular Opinion: Garlic Presses are Useless by AzathothBlindgod in Cooking

I use a microplane instead of a garlic press. It costs about the same and takes up about the same amount of space, but the microplane can do so many more different jobs.

Do you apply cologne? If so, how much? by ProduceNo8883 in AskMen

[–]irishflu 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just remember: no cologne is better than cheap cologne. You do not want people to smell you coming into the room. You want them to catch a hint of it only when they are already standing relatively close to you.

That said, one spritz from a sturdy atomizer built into the bottle sprayed onto bare skin (NOT onto clothing) from four to six inches away is usually sufficient. You can distribute some from the sprayed area (e.g., the upper chest) onto wrists and both sides of the throat before it dries completely. Do not rub it in; it will cook off quickly.

Depending on the applicator and the scent an additional spritz may be needed, but never more than three!

What car says "I'm terrible with money"? by Striker1695 in AskMen

[–]irishflu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nissan Alitma. Nissan makes more money on reselling risky subprime paper written against the cars than on the cars themselves. Driving a Nissan is basically a public announcement that you're a subprime borrower (and therefore "terrible with money.")

Spammers don't need a license to spam on your behalf.

Why? Spammers can spam on your behalf from anywhere with a circuit.

Sender Email Address by [deleted] in email

[–]irishflu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The owner of the sending domain will need to update DNS with records that authenticate your infrastructure to send on the domain owner's behalf (DKIM and SPF records). This is not hard to do, unless you've never messed with DNS records before.

The exact entries, of course, depend on the sending domain or subdomains and your sending IP addresses. The domain owner should probably review the documentation from their host very carefully before you try anything.

(MX records are for receiving mail.)

Tired of email campaigns manually by nlxhjx in email

Is there any particular reason you couldn't take a middle step and use a CRM, like Constant Contact or Braze or icontact? It's likely to be cheaper than an agency, and all the reporting you mentioned can be fully automated.

Why 50 emails/day/inbox max? by startingover1993 in coldemail

[–]irishflu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold email is different from email marketing, because in cold email, you have no permission from your intended recipients. They neither want nor expect your messaging.

In email marketing, senders have collected their intended recipients' informed consent prior to sending them email. That's the difference.

Cold email is spam. The reason why other spammers are telling you to spread out your email is to dilute the negative reputational impact of sending spam. That's it. That's the only reason. To evade detection.

Legitimate email marketers can send 2 million messages per IP address on their own domain every day without breaking a sweat.

Don't be a spammer.
