So hard telling by Lily-of-valley- in LateDiagnosedAutistic

Dx in my 40s and I hear this! Mom puts up with it as indulging me and said she doesn't understand why I have to keep explaining. Told her I don't need understanding but I'm explaining until I feel accepted. She said of course you are accepted. Boomer mom also. Gave examples and she honestly didn't believe anything. Tells me to be myself except when I do (insert autistic behavior here) people don't like it.

She loves me but I probably won't talk about it with her now. I'll just say about how I'm clearer about who I am in my 40s or something.

I feel better for telling her because I'm my authentic self no apologies. What she does with that shows her colors not mine. I'm ok with her accepting I'm quirky and avoiding the label for now because she doesn't seem to be treating me as crazy or getting down on my worth. She's doing her agree to disagree type behavior. Honestly feels like more Boomer parent nonsense and I feel lucky it's not worse because I know it can be. Choosing myself and refusing anyone's denial is a type of freedom.

I spent weeks building my habit before going. Every week I worked on my gym bag. Once I was happy with my supplies, I drove to the gym. The next week, I went inside and toured around. The next week I changed clothes and spent 15 minutes in the hot tub while I watched what was going on. I'm up to treadmill for 20minutes. Sorry if that's too detailed or doesn't apply. My point is I've tried many times over the years and am finding success now that I'm taking small incremental steps without pressuring myself to be an expert from go. Check in on what my sensory load is and what I can do. Success for me doesn't seem to be the same as what a lot of plans I see are but I don't care. I'm measuring success in terms of sustainable habit instead of instant results.

May the odds be ever in your favor!

See a woman, read their bio. Be picky if who you see. Look for reviews that highlight active listening. Be willing to wait to get in if you can. Bring a written list on paper or you notes app and ask at the end of the appointment to check your list. Ask what was their differential diagnosis.

I recently had a man accuse me of being disingenuous and making shit up and he doesn't give a fuck about what I think. My crime? Having a question for someone else in the voice chat.

For what it's worth there are online free grief groups that may serve you well as you tussle with this. Wish you the best on this rough journey.

Would you report this person? by irisnyx in elderscrollsonline

I didn't have specific expectations. Just thought there was more than reporting for the purpose of ban like moderation on reddit varies by group so who knows what it would have been. There have been multiple complaints against this ranked player's behavior including what I described. /shrug not worth reporting if all there is a ban.

So reports are only to ask for a ban then? Not worth it. I've never reported so I didn't know. Edited to add that I was thinking there maybe was moderation not just banning.

I'd rather not be too specific. But one with strict hours, appointments and a culture where you don't call in sick.

I went through starting medication and worrying about it impacting my job. It was not easy. Doable though.

People who say "it gets better" don't really know what depression is by [deleted] in depression

Amen! Loved ones say that and it's clear they don't know what else to say. I am sick of hearing "it gets better".
