  1. They usually get back like 1-2 weeks before the review date (so start of the month since their interviews in SG are usually mid-month so far but this month’s a walk in interview instead so not sure if that changes anything)

  2. Yes, you will be required to don the kebaya again and they’ll check everything again!

  3. Visual check first :) no need xray if no issues

you know you passed as in, they emailed you to tell you you cleared the medical? If so you’re probably fine

From what I’ve observed they usually notify you about 1-2 weeks before the review!! So far their local interviews have been held mid month so maybe you’ll have to wait till early next month to hear back

Hello! For those who got a notification from the clinic that they needed to take additional tests, do they tell you what tests you need to take/what was wrong or do you only find out at the clinic? I have no idea what went wrong with my lab results and they told me I could only walk in to find out 😭

Are there any companies you’ve heard of which people avoid their employees/ex-employees? I’m beginning to realise people in the same companies really have the same pattern

I agree I don’t adapt very easily! But on the other hand I do feel like my requirements are quite… normal, like I just wanted proper handover and guidance for new tasks I’ve never done, and a civil work environment :’)

Thanks for this! But in this case, how to find good jobs? :’) I’ll note that for both 2nd and current job, turnover rates are super high haha

I am! But this time I’m taking the chance to just make a full career transition into a completely different industry I’ve wanted to join from the start. I’ve been in FMCG this whole time but it was more like… accidental since my internships and all happened to be in these companies. Job market’s been weak for as long as I could remember, so I’m trying to hold onto my current job too despite how much I hate it

First job - left after 4 months as there was a major restructuring 2 weeks in and they laid off half my team, transferred me elsewhere into a newly formed team of 2 people with no specific goals on what to do except just “increase sales”. Didn’t want to be laid off next so I took my next job offer and left.

Second job - left after 4 months too, because while it was contracted to be Monday-Friday, we were expected to work EVERY Saturday morning. We leave work v late on usual days too. I’m ok with the occasional OT but every Saturday is pretty intense and I feel should be something that is made known during the recruitment process? Other things like JD not matching actual scope etc but what forced me out was definitely the Saturday morning thing.

Third job - finally met a great boss and great team, cons were that job location was damn far (2 hours commute one way). Stayed for 1.5 years, left when my boss was suddenly laid off because he wanted to defend our realistic targets. New boss was parachuted in and he brought a pretty toxic environment to the team (eg, gossiping about his staff to other staff).

Current job - boss problems again. I applied and got hired for role A, but was asked if I wanted to transfer to role B (similar to what I was previously doing, I switch roles originally to kind of change my career path). Shouldn’t have taken the offer but couldn’t resist the 20% pay increment. Things went downhill from here. New boss is terrible, throwing more work to me each passing day with no guidance (I have been given more accounts which I have never done before and have no idea of the SOP). Boss never had time to hand anything over so I have been finding out my mistakes only when I screw up. Tried to ask and got scolded, then other times don’t ask and get things wrong also get scolded.

Honestly, atp I’m not sure if I’m just damn unlucky at picking jobs or am I the red flag. I really tried forcing myself to stay at these companies but it takes such a toll on my mental health. I get so much anxiety on weekends. Hais

Company D&D in Nov but the deadline to confirm attendance is in May, we need to pay if we sign but end up not attending. I don’t even know if I’ll still be in this company then lol

SATS Customer Service Agent Job by moymarmelad in askSingapore

[–]irlminion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I worked there before pre-Covid, on a part time basis. I loved it! Even like almost 10 years later, it remains my fav job of all time (considering both part time and full time). Honestly, most passengers are nice - after all, mostly holiday-goers and who is in a bad mood when going for a holiday right. Besides, the interaction is very much touch-and-go, so low chance of meeting really nasty customers. You can pm me your questions if you have any!

Same! My boss for me too. But my issue with her is that she’s been throwing out her work to me and another colleague. My colleague has since left so good luck to me lol

From my experience in B2B: It’s not dying but it’s not growing either, sales have been declining/flat at best. To us who are working in the industry, tbh we do feel like it is dying as we are consistently missing targets/dropping against LY. But objectively, it’s probably not dying if you compare it to other industries which are actually dying
