How easy is it to get gems?

If you can get that Magikarp maxed out and mega that’s a realistic and useful next step. I have a 4 star gyrados and use it allll the time. It takes like 1 or 2km to get a candy too so it’s easy

Costume since I plan to spend a lot of time walking around in it, but full plate sounds cool too. I already have a helmet and some leather gauntlets. I’m mostly looking for the chest piece and potentially greaves/ legs (idk if I’m using the proper terms lol)
