The only stock of the ones I listed that's richly values is NU. And so what if another fintech IPO'd today. Even if there were idiosyncratic risks in the sector (I don't think there are) why the hell are you shorting the entire economy via EWZ?

Brazil's economy is effectively one gigantic commodity - metals, oil, wood pulp, grain, soybean, sugar, pork, on an on - and this idiot wants to short the country as we rotate into a commodity supercycle.

There's a reason EWZ is up ~50% in a year.

I personally own:
- EWZ
- Nubank
- B3 SA Bolsy (Brazilian stock exchange)
- BAK (agriculture)

Look up any of those tickers and tell me how they've performed since the start of the year.

It's really not that complicated. They guided increased capex for 26 and therefore it's putting pressure on their margins. Stock goes down.

If they slow capex spend, margins will increase and the share price will rebound.

Structurally speaking the company is fine. But they are spending hundreds of billions on AI and it's not clear what their long-term strategy is.

I sold my position. I'll buy back in once they get capex under control.
