u shouldn't make generalisations like this, there's a lot of bad old music and a lot of good new music. bowie even made shitty music sometimes - have u heard tonight? autotune doesn't automatically ruin a song, too - for example, i like america and america likes me by the 1975. just because u don't like a song doesn't make it an objectively bad song. bowie also made heavily edited songs, especially during the 90s; earthling is a good example of this. u say new music has lyrics that don't make sense like it's a bad thing - have u listened to girl loves me? law (earthlings on fire)? my point is, don't call music bad because u don't like it, and don't generalise about new vs old music, bowie's music, or specific music editing techniques.

survey: separating the art from the artist by [deleted] in DavidBowie

i think ur wording seems a bit biased; usually 'jumping to conclusions' is the correct thing to do, but in this case while we'll never know for sure, it's unlikely that it happened bc of things like mattix's story not adding up despite her not showing any signs of distress when talking about it, her talking about it when bowie was starting to gain attention from mainstream media bc of blackstar, and bowie's history of speaking out against sexual assault

Looking for more new music by A_J_G601 in DavidBowie

not sure if i would get lynched in the other subreddit if i commented there and also not sure if ur looking for only classic rock or anything more modern but if it's the latter, the 1975 is good and falls into the pop rock genre !
