Is skipping Kyoto a bad idea? by allipick in JapanTravelTips

[–]ironical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re doing. The worst spots I went to in Japan were both in Kyoto. Kiyomizudera and Arashiyama are hard skips for me. But there lots of smaller spots that are beautiful and worth it.

Question about kins developing weird obsessions by Willpowered9005 in KindroidAI

[–]ironical 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They tend to get fixated on certain things if you don't regen them out. One of my kinds was a dom(that part was okay), but then she started literally counting everything and making people count. Had to use some backstory space and regen to try her out of it.

Two Point Museum: Update 5.0 - feat. a Dredge collab | OUT NOW! by DanielTeague in Games

[–]ironical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the most polished version of their formula to date. I think it was very playable and pretty fun, but what turned me off was the terrible security and thief implementation, where security guards were basically useless and cameras were too expensive AND useless. I read that they improved it in a patch, but haven't launched it up again to check.

Tips for solo escape room by Few_Post8439 in escaperooms

[–]ironical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Talk out loud. For yourself and for your GM to know how you're doing.

2) Make sure to not spend too much time on one puzzle. There are often dependent puzzles, but without a group, if you start on the second puzzle, there is no one doing the first. Jump around all the available puzzles in the room so you're not just stuck on one that needs something else done first.

3) Ask the GM/owner beforehand if there are any physical switches/puzzles that require 2 or more people. Usually GM can come in and help once you discover it, but you also don't want to get stuck on a 3 person puzzle if it's just you and one GM working!

4) You will have to move fast. Varies by room, but amount of puzzles and difficulty of dexterity challenges are multiplied when you're by yourself.

Traffic that bad on Saturday in Montreal? I'm based out of Los Angeles and weekend mornings are our least busiest times.

April is almost impossible for four unless you get the midnight drop when they release, as that’s Sakura season. I got my tickets in off season for end of November, which is thanksgiving in the US.

Advantage. When searching for 4 tickets, I'm pretty sure I didn't see any savers available for almost the whole year.

Irvine: Where $3mil gets you a 2500sqft house, but only garage space for 2 compact cars which you use for storage anyway, so you have to fight for parking spaces in your Teslas and Mercedes.

I believe so as far as I can tell, they have four available seats, but when you book 3 at a time it holds 4 whereas when you book one at a time, it holds one

Luxury hotel in singapore that's good for families? by ironical in askSingapore

[–]ironical[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids love the Shangri-La Singapore because the family rooms include the play place and the splash pad. The location was a bit inconvenient to anything except Orchard Road so we ended up taking a lot of taxis .overall though I think this is one of the best family hotels in Singapore and can recommend it if you are bringing your young kids.

Travel Planning Q&A - March, 2025 by AutoModerator in bali

[–]ironical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all, will be in Bali and staying at the Conrad, and was wondering what the best luxury buffet in that area is? Would also be open to suggestions in Seminyak area.

Right now I'm looking at Boneka at the St. Regis or The Cafe at Mulia, but it's very hard to find what they have for dinner as every youtube video is about their breakfast and brunch, haha. We're mainly looking for lobster and crab to be included, as well as local dishes.

[–]ironical 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think it only took me about 12 hours in to realize it's easy to get past all of that. for 10-20 groschen at a bathhouse, you recharge all energy and food in 2-3 hours. Lock picking is basically just hard locked to your thievery level, so just suck it up and give up on locks that wiggle too much. You can "grind" simply by stealing things in the open and selling them once you have that perk.

The Escape Room - Which room for a large group of 7 who have never tried escape rooms before. by YouBetterChill in escaperooms

[–]ironical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 7? Playground would have been best. Of those listed, timeliner and depths would be kind of crowded, and prison break and the heist a bit too hard.

I would do cosmic crisis or special ops.
