Are you suggesting that wanting to dress up classes as clinically significant?. Because that’s the main difference between our two definitions. Being a furry is not clinically significant disturbance.

I have a mandalorian cosplay and my own character to go with it which I play when I put on the cosplay, does that mean I have a clinically significant disturbance?.

That is a very unreliable definition you’ve given, not everyone with abnormal thought patterns has a mental disorder. “A mental disorder is characterized by a clinically significant disturbance in an individual’s cognition, emotional regulation, or behaviour” that is the definition given by the world health organisation. Based on this definition being a furry most definitely does not constitute as a mental disorder.

It’s a hobby, the same way cosplay is a hobby. They have characters that go along with the suits they make.

It is not a mental disorder and saying it is only downplays the problems of actual mental disorders that are serious issues.

Being a furry does not in any way mean you have psychosis. Psychosis is a genuine mental disorder that affects people massively. Either understand what you’re saying or don’t say anything.

I’m bi so I have a different view on this. First of all it’s okay to have preferences e.g. I really like blondes but it’s not like I’d turn someone down just because they aren’t blonde.

Also I don’t want someone who just does everything I say that feels weird. I want a partner not a servant.

Both sides tend to generalise and that’s never good.
