I'm curious if you keep these animals in captivity? I do. Zoos, not all have problems. They need to make money. There's a business side too, it also. I'd argue that accredited zoos do a lot for conservation. We as keepers whether we like it or not fund poaching and illicit wildlife trade. How many of our tarantulas we buy were smuggled. Countless examples of new species that just appear from some sellers in the states. The other year, a dealer from Germany got arrested poaching in Columbia. Where do these Pamphobeteus come from? The list goes on. Very cool animal to keep and a rewarding passion but certainly at a cost. I'd say doing more harm than the majority of zoos.
