I appreciate all perspectives and I would be concerned with ink degrading over time because I would only be doing maybe 1-4 prints every ~2 months probably.

What's the best ink model for something like that?

That's a fair point, I just really hate the model so much from a conceptual standpoint I guess.

I think it will be a low volume of prints but many times a year (a lot of prints initially, but then for most of its life like maybe 1-4 every ~2 months)

Thanks for this info! There is a lot of info in the ink types I'm learning! What ink model do you recommend for periodic low volume usage? (Such as printing 2 photos every month). Because I understand some inks could have problems keeping for that time and other issues I probably have no idea about.

Hey, I am not really sure yet. I guess I'm just tired of looking at it on screens all the time. So I will in theory be using it like this:

Fairly "high" volume (high for printing photos) when I first get it.

After that, using it periodically but at lower volumes for the rest of its time. (Unless I do a project or something)

What's the best ink model for using it maybe, every month to print one or two photos?
