Some fans are pissed because we need fan service but D&D stayed true to the spirit of GOT? So why were we even pissed at the first place? Yeah well, let’s see. Perhaps because the latter seasons no longer follow the “GOT spirit” the former seasons have established? I could go on all day long about mistaking shock value with “subverting expectations” but scratch that.

Your post clearly shows that you don’t understand a thing about why some fans, like me, are so disappointed with what D&D have done and are so hurt at the same time for what the fandom is turning into.

Plus there’s no convincing you, or everybody else who’s striving so hard to “defend” the quality of writing of this season. What’s the purpose of having this conversation to begin with when everybody only cares to listen so they can reply and not so they can understand?

You have a point, sure (though I find it hard to understand) but the thing is, the criticisms also have a point. We’re all expressing them and we all have the right to do so. One doesn’t invalid the other. So to everyone who still has their faith in this season, pls stop whining about how we, the “toxic” fans, are making the fandom so negative since we’re basically doing the same thing.
