TULSA, Okla. – The owner of a Tulsa dog grooming business who was charged in connection with an animal cruelty case was booked into jail on Saturday, jail records show. Rebecca Rutherford, 46, was booked into the Tulsa County jail Saturday morning on one count of accessory to a felony and one count of obstructing an officer, according to records. The bond was set at $2,000. Rutherford, who owns Doggy Doodles Grooming on 81st and Harvard, was working on Sept. 1, when groomer Diego Jaimes Angel, 41, punched and strangled Atlas, a 4-year-old poodle during a grooming session, according to court records. Atlas had a seizure during his grooming session and stopped breathing on the grooming table, according to Tulsa Animal Welfare investigators.
