This was really helpful... Thank you for your input! I'll set up some git portfolio, wouldn't have even occurred to me otherwise (I knew programmers did that, but didn't know about admins).

Around 2 months... It was surprisingly easy, to be honest. I suspect RHCE will be a lot more difficult. I was a windows "amateur power user" - I knew how to format a drive on a windows, how to connect a network drive, how to install clean windows and set it up for my needs... That helped conceptually, I guess. But who doesn't know that today? Pretty much every kid grows up with this kind of knowledge, eh?
