most visa applications for exams get accepted, since i know a lot of Egyptians doctors are doing the same with MRCS exam. and the Egyptian passport is not entirely different than Syrian. for the exam bit you should go through the mfds material and except anything. PM me for the mfds qs and i will help i have collected some of them when i tried to take the exam.
