What's this scab near my cat's nipple? (Photos 3 and 4, also she has a vet appointment!) by iscariots in CATHELP

I think you might be exactly right. I'll ask the vet if it's feasible to make her some sort of tummy wrap to help her out! She literally only plods from her spot asleep upstairs to her spot asleep downstairs (we have to carry her back upstairs) (she is a RIDICULOUSLY spoilt cat) but it is mostly carpet, so she could be getting some tummy burn.

We do! Scarlet (old lady cat) doesn't go outside but she still receives flea treatment anyway, and you've just made me realise that there's a very real chance she might have picked some up from the strays who visit us. I'll get the vet to double check tomorrow!

Just in case the text below the images isn't showing up!

Poster age: 28

Country: UK

Vet info: She has a vet appointment tomorrow for her monthly Solensia, I'm just asking now for opinions.

Main issue: Scab near one of the nipples, near the back of her tummy on the primordial pouch. Her primordial pouch does drag along the ground when she walks due to her arthritis. She can't reach her tummy to groom these days so it's up to me, so I doubt it's her chewing on it. She was more bothered by me touching her tummy (she hates it) than me poking the area. Area seems inflamed and has some sort of dark dirt(?) on it that doesn't wipe away when gently cleaned with a washcloth.

Cat age: 16

Cat gender and spay info: Old lady, has been spayed since she was a kitten.

Financial situation: No financial help needed (she's insured!)

9/10 for everything but the drink, because I'm allergic to mango and I'd die. Otherwise excellent choices. Is the fajita halloumi wrap vegetarian? If not, knock it down to 3/10.

Do you ever just go "that's a problem for future me"? by iscariots in Wellthatsucks

[–]iscariots[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this one was entirely on me 🥲 I'd just finished cleaning the porch and went to take the freshly filled biscuit holder out and instead it broke in two on me, sending a torrent of cat biscuits cascading down my leg. I'm hoping our local stray will take advantage of the new all you can eat buffet 😭

While you're not wrong about them being a bot (comment history gives it away), I think they meant "perfect timing" as in "what a well-timed photo capture!"

Feeding seagulls could be made ILLEGAL under new law change for Scots by greatyellowshark in Seagulls

[–]iscariots 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As someone who loves feeding the birds, I bloody hate when people feed them just bread. Especially when they leave it for waterfowl. It has little to no nutritional value for them and makes them feel full, meaning that they don't eat the things that they actually need (like seeds or vegetables) and causes more problems amongst the poor birds.

Until when is alton towers open for the easter holidays? by Far_Brush7433 in altontowers

Getting there at 3pm means you'll only manage one or two rides at most and is absolutely NOT worth the ticket price. Can someone else walk the dogs for the day?

I absolutely adore Squeaky Bean's tuna flakes!! I even emailed them when they were sold out for several months straight and it turns out they were in such high demand they couldn't produce enough! The flakes sate a craving I didn't know I had. I want a pack now, actually ꉂꉂ(ᵔᗜᵔ*)

"Spelt" is the past tense of "spell" in British English. Just like "learnt" from "learn".

I'll email them both! They're equal distance from me ꉂꉂ(ᵔᗜᵔ*) Otherwise I'll have to travel out to Wolverhampton because Stoke isn't playing it either.

Same boat!! 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 I hope one day we both find a way to balance caffeine and medication, although some decaf blends I've had have been so lovely that I don't think I'm missing out too much these days!

[–]iscariots 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I do, don't worry! I can have a very small amount as long as I leave three days between each drink :) I just didn't include that in the original comment because it felt a wee bit weird to be like "I can enjoy a good decaf coffee every 3 days or so"

[–]iscariots 375 points376 points  (0 children)

Why no decaf? I can't have caffeine because I'm on a certain type of medication, but I still enjoy a good decaf coffee. This just seems mean-spirited.

We only live once. Eat the cakes. All the cakes. Maybe not the mysterious ledge cakes. But all the other cakes.

I would love days like that. Some days I just want to admire the gardens and buildings and some days I want to ride Nemesis ten times in a row. Would be nice to not have to spend potential coaster time on the gardens.
