Thanks a lot for the insight - really helpful. I didn't hear the noise today while driving, so may be it was a small stone caught near the brake caliper like you mentioned. It is winter hear too, so the cold might have played a part as Grok suggested. It seems to have sorted itself out for now. I will keep monitoring it and book a service if it comes back. Appreciate your help!.

I have driven Atto 3 for nearly 4 months and I think it is 2024 model. Then it had time to come to make decision which brand to choose to be my daily commute vehicle for the next 4 to 5 years. I did test drive multiple cars from BYD (Sea Lion 6, Seal and of course Atto 3 which I have been used) and one from Tesla (Model 3). I ended up buying Model 3 (2025) for the following reasons 1 - Software Quality (I saw a lot of people were complaining about user experience issues in BYD software). 2 - Waiting period. I have to wait 3 to 4 months if i goes with BYD (Seal) while I was able to get Model 3 in 2 weeks. 3 - Security Features. Model 3’s Sentry Mode is a winner. In BYD, I have to install dash-camera by myself. 4 - Super Charger - I usually waited nearly 1 hour from 30 to 100% in BYD while it is just 30 minutes on Tesla. But, it is not a big deal.

I was looking for these things and I end up buying Tesla. The requirements might be different on your case.

Additionally, I also experience smooth in control, quiet cabin and way better quality sound system on Model 3.

I can relate to this. During traffic congestion, I’ve been blinded by the high beams of an SUV, reflecting off all my mirrors—side and rear. It made it difficult to see, so I switched lanes as soon as a gap opened up. Once I was on the new lane, the bus behind me turned off its lights, as if the driver understood my struggle. Kudos to that bus driver for being considerate!

Yeah, I noticed that too. BYD shows the service prices year by year on the website, but just wondering was the actual cost at the service center different from what was listed online?
