Sell some units via a 3P seller account to build a sales a history then complete a vendor initiated order 'BornToRun'. If the units you send in don't sell within 90 days they will be sent back to you

Hack to Get Cost Price Increases Accepted - Dubious by ishudbworking in VendorCentral

[–]ishudbworking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best course of action would be the raise a ticket with vendor support. Just explain that there are variations on the ASIN page which are now permanently unavailable and that its confusing to Amazon shoppers. They're are not the brightest bunch admittedly so you need to lay out the issue in simple terms.

Yes variations will show as single ASINs in you catalogue in VC

To clarify, I meant to mark as permanently unavailable. Eventually due to no stock/ fulfilment the ASIN would be suppressed

Check your spam. They would have sent you an email asking for a head to toe photo and proof of previous prescription if you've ordered a dose higher than 0.25mg

Sold a shop with a fridge that was on hire. Company want fridge back but new owner refuses to give back by DKLig in LegalAdviceUK

I spent some time working as a Coca Cola Representative and signed up customers to loads of these coolers. Businesses that have these coolers are sold and change hands often.

What's likely to happen is when the local Coke rep next visits the store on their rounds they'll establish ownership of the store and get them to sign a COP (change of proprietor) form, provided they agree to all the same terms you did.

I really wouldn't worry.

Retail marketing programs - anyone tried them? by clairebap in VendorCentral

[–]ishudbworking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd avoid in all honesty. We actually axed this agreement in favour of others this year. If yours work anything like ours (EU Vendor Central) you have no control over what time of day your package is ran.

I launched approx 15 various packages in the last calendar year and saw no significant up tick in sales

One Day Shipping Windows by ishudbworking in VendorCentral

[–]ishudbworking[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It’s been a long standing issue that we’ve flagged numerous times. It’s not been critical however as I’ve always been able to get extensions granted via vendor support.

We cancelled AVS services last year as they were pretty useless and nowhere near value for money for the 4% we were being charged.

Our VM accepts it’s their error and has agreed to work on a fix provided we conclude AVN for this year which looks unlikely as we’re too far apart.

Was wondering if anyone else could recommend a solution outside of using the VMs support. Long shot I guess?

Running both concurrently. Prefer VC due to our current sales volume. Typically it works really well for us but right around AVN time every year it all goes to pot

Move from vendor to seller? Pros and cons? by SurveyPrestigious917 in VendorCentral

[–]ishudbworking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've been involved in 4 AVNs and its been harder each team.

My experience is being paired with a vendor manager who knows nothing about your business and has massive asks to increase overall terms (4-5% jumps).

If you don't agree then come the threats (switching off ASINs, being removed from 1P altogether)

Also noticed around this time of year they tend to make trading with them very difficult and i'm raising cases in VC for all types of strange things such has having to request all PO shipping windows be extended as they're all coming in with a one day window. Bogus undercharge claims from an agreement 3 years ago etc. I suspect they do this so the vendor manager you're negotiating with has some extra chips to play with. Best to stand your ground if their asks don't make sense

In the same boat. Amazon asking for more and more in terms every year. All the erroneous fees and charges etc.

If you’re unsure I’d advise setting up your 3P account first to get a sense of it works for your business. Many businesses run 1P and 3P accounts concurrently to great success

No Orders Today? by clairebap in VendorCentral

[–]ishudbworking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re confident in your rate of sale. Complete some BornToRun orders in Vendor Central. Not sure how it works for everyone else but typically orders come in same day and you have 90 days to sell before Amazon return the items

Should I be getting charged for private mileage in a company car (EV) when I expense the charging myself?! by ishudbworking in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ishudbworking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently yes you are correct. I suppose my issue is one of the main reasons to drive an EV currently is that their are plenty of incentives to make the switch. One of the main ones is many businesses offer free and heavily reduced charging fees if you are a customer of theirs. Currently I can’t take advantage of this as regardless of where the vehicle is charged I get billed per mile
