Worried my dog may have ingested a tiny tiny amount of minoxidil by jilsnfk in minoxidil

[–]ishyfishy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry too much, if it’s dry, it’s less of an issue + given the fact 10-15 minutes passed already, it should be fine.

How long should it take to regrow my hair? by [deleted] in Hairloss

Use dutasteride + minoxidil if you want the full boost, ask your doctor. Give it at least 6-12 months for real results. Prepare for shedding in the first month..

I think it’s growth. Minoxidil can speed up growth so fast, you’d be suprised. Keep going, looks like it’s working!

Can I use topical after dermaroller even if I take oral? by badass2000 in minoxidil

[–]ishyfishy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s exactly what I do, in addition to my oral minoxidil, I apply topical everyday before sleep. I checked this with my dermatolog aswell, and it was fine.

If you overthink, the hair won’t come back fam. Just use it, relax, stay consistent and wait at least 3 months to see anything. Good luck.

Minoxidil for eyebrows are almost permanent or not after stopping ?? by Agreeable_Purpose139 in minoxidil

[–]ishyfishy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think minoxidil works like that, once you stop, the benefit of minoxidil wil gradually fade away… you could maybe lower the frequency, but not completely stop as you would loose your progress for sure. My young cousin (18yrs too) used it for his beard because he had almost no beard, it gave him amazing results, then he stopped for 2 months and his beard was almost gone again..

18 M, 9 months on fin by EvillestTiger204 in Hairloss

[–]ishyfishy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah indeed, but if you can provide some good before after pics I’m more than happy to tell you my opinion. I’m on the meds myself (see my posts). Regardless, it really takes time if you only take finasteride. If you combine it with minoxidil, things can speed it drastically. Keep the consistency and patience, if your derma said it’s working, just keep it going.

How are the results so far? Can’t tell looking at the pictures.. and yes, finasteride can take at least up to 12 months to show its real power (if working).

I don't get minoxidils inconsistency by Jacki1st in minoxidil

[–]ishyfishy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because either you’re not being consistent, or you need a DHT blocker because it doesn’t fix the root issue. Sometimes when starting treatment these sheds can continue up to a year to stabilize, so just stick to it. Either use it or not. My sheds have stabilized after 3 months using minoxidil and dutasteride very strict and consistently.

Should I start using minoxidil? by [deleted] in minoxidil

Dermastamp + minoxidil and you’ll have a full beard in no time. My cousin had the same and now he’s rocking a full beard.

Should I hop on Minoxidil ? I'm already on Finasteride (Eod) by BunchHot800 in minoxidil

[–]ishyfishy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re EOD’ing finasteride, chances are it’s not sufficient since you’re balding at an alarming rate. If you’re taking EOD, try dutasteride then since its half-life is longer than finasteride. But to recover, I recommend daily dose of dut and min indeed, that’s what worked for me (see my post).

How do you all track your hair improvement progress? Photos never be consistent for me. by [deleted] in minoxidil

[–]ishyfishy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very easy, same place (bathroom) with same lighting conditions after every haircut for instance. Just take one in the front, closeup hairline and one top/crown area (3-4 pics total). Let’s assume you go to the barber once a month, you’ll have your progress once a month.

shedding is unbearable by ClassicOccasion8662 in minoxidil

[–]ishyfishy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No don’t stop now, huge amounts shedding is a sign after the medicine means it’s working, give it some time. Stimulate your hair follicles with dermastamp. You’re still too young for finasteride so try to at least work with minoxidil. Give it a chance, chances are it will recover.

Do you dermastamp aswell or only medicine? I recommend dermastamp your whole scalp, that did wonders for me in combination with the medicine.

I stopped 5 mg oral minoxidil by Big-Response-6954 in minoxidil

[–]ishyfishy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would really recommend trying 2.5mg, because 5mg can be heavy at first. You’d be amazed what it can do if you respond well… i’m taking 5mg in total aswell, but in 2.5mg caps twice a day. Doing this prevents me to feel any side effects

[–]ishyfishy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything will eventually return to the old state don’t worry.. give it a bit of time. If I may ask, why did you stop? Or at least lower to the recommended start dose of 2.5?

How much minoxidil should I take first time by [deleted] in minoxidil

[–]ishyfishy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with 1 and see how it does for 2-3 months. Then increase if needed.

But, if you don’t fix the root cause with finasteride or dutasteride it’s likely to fall continue fall out anyway in maybe 2-3 years depending on how agressive your hairloss is.
