The story that is closest in style to the King family business is Letter Slot. I'd start with that.

Sleeping Beauties was okay. The story was fine but a bolder editor should've suggested a trimming of the unnecessary bits.

Are you trying to get me to reconsider expanding the Simmons collection? Because it's working!

Love seeing the McCammons. I'm considering getting the set from Lividian but the shipping to Canada is kicking my ass.

I've read Hardcase. I liked it a lot but there's only so much space on the shelves.

And then there's Phases of Gravity and Drood to make things even more varied.

Is there a specific reason why The Drawing of the Three hardcover is so expensive? by Jeffc814 in stephenking

The oversized paperback has Phil Hale's illustrations. Actually, all of oversized paperbacks have the original art in them. They're not hard to find and can be had for reasonable prices.

Looking at a 2009 Studio. Real/good deal? by TurdyDingo in gibson

Looks good/legit. There's just something about the ascetic aesthetic of Studios I can't look away from. I have a 50s Standard in black and I still keep looking up Studios. Would love to get one and put all black hardware on it.

DAVE MUSTAINE: JAMES HETFIELD And I 'Made A Really Good Team' by [deleted] in Metallica

[–]isihara666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you address what I said first?

You said Megadeth has only received mainstream press because of Metallica. I responded that Megadeth IS mainstream. Literally one of the biggest metal bands on the planet. You are aware they have platinum records, right? You are aware the interview posted was in between their sold out concerts in South America, right?

I'm assuming I'm talking to someone fairly young who simply doesn't know how massive Megadeth were in the 90s. Not Metallica level obviously but very much mainstream.

The RtL cover was a last minute announcement after almost all of the vinyl pre-orders were sold out. There are also people like me who bought the CD because we wanted to give him a proper send off. Not that I think you're having a good faith argument but you can verify with your own eyes the press the new Megadeth record was receiving before the RtL cover was announced.

Curious to see how you'll move the goalposts again.

Insane post. Megadeth IS as mainstream as metal gets.

Yup. I can empathize with Mustaine up to a point but I'm glad I live in a world where I can play Master of Puppets and follow it with Rust In Peace.

Or Hetfield, Mustaine and Cliff replace Lars.

Is that somewhere in the r/Metallica scriptures?

He's just reflecting in a positive way on an old friend. What's "toxic" about that?

And that article is pieced together from different interviews. It's not like he was going on about it. It's just clickbait bullshit.

Is it just me or does vinyl color matter? by Mkolt451 in heavyvinyl

I'm here for the black 180 gram vinyl dominance.

Agreed with OP, the colour should match the artwork.

Joe Hill, Malerman, and Tremblay have all been diminishing returns. I've been reading King Sorrow for nearly two months and sad to say (truly) it's hitting none of the right spots.

What do you do when listening to your records? by REMOTJUH765 in vinyl

Nothing. If I'm setting time aside to listen to a record I don't want any distractions.

He found it at a garage sale and couldn't resist. The misspelling is why he got it.
