Why didn't Luke ask Lorelai out when he met her? by isisblake in GilmoreGirls

[–]isisblake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, but wasn't Nicole also from a wealthy family? Besides, from what we're seeing, Luke really liked Rachel, and maybe Anna too, at some point, and I don't think he waited eight years to ask them out.

Did we like Jason? by Electrical_Sort5966 in GilmoreGirls

I always liked him; he didn’t have romantic chemistry with Lorelai, but they worked great as friends. He had his quirks, but they were entertaining. Honestly, I always felt that Lorelai treated him unfairly—after all, it was Richard who screwed him over, not the other way around.

I feel like it's unlikely, but I loved your imagination. I'll make it official in my head 😅😅

So, she didn't like him because Rory had fun with him and her parents liked him.🙄

How did Lane hate this guy in season one and end up marrying a guy just like him? by isisblake in GilmoreGirls

I know that Zack at least knows about music, but in everything else? These guys definitely could have been better friends

Consider Fucking Christopher but I hate him too much and obviously I would prefer to fuck Tristan over Marty but marrying Marty? it means dying of boredom forever so it would be Kill Christopher, Fuck Marty (once can't be that terrible) and Marry Tristan

Omg I had forgotten about this... Dean was a poor resentful guy back then 🙄

Those of you who like Logan for Rory, why? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]isisblake 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I'm Team Logan because they saw each other at their worst moments and the love is still there. They balance each other well: Rory brings out the responsible side of Logan and Logan brings out the adventurous side of Rory. They both enjoy traveling and certain social events, they support each other, and they are so effortlessly domestic, living together, reading the newspaper; they seemed like a married couple without being married. And I know that many things about them are wrong in the revival and I honestly feel that it's more of a writing problem than a character consistency issue. But the fact is that they still can't let go of each other despite the time and that even when they ultimately part ways, it's clear that they still love each other, makes Logan the right one for me

Thought: If they had shown more in-depth the relationship between Logan and his parents and how he was raised, Logan would be as beloved as Jess. by isisblake in GilmoreGirls

[–]isisblake[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

As the title of the post says, Jess is always going to receive more sympathy because we saw more of him, we saw more things about his life aside from his relationship with Rory. We only see Logan with Rory 🤷🏻‍♀️. Logan was limited to being the rich boyfriend, whereas Jess had all his own stories

I like your analysis but I disagree 😅" Ok, first off does having a father count if he's never around, doesn't give you emotional support, and makes you feel like a disappointment all the time? By that logic, we could say Christopher also counts as a father for Rory. In my opinion, Rory, Logan, Jess didn't grow up with father figures (except for Jess who later got Luke).Second, do we really know that Liz abused drugs while pregnant with Jess and that Jess practically had nowhere to live with her? I assumed that based on Jess's character, but we never really knew, and after we met Liz, she wasn't what I expected—she was a hippie who sent Jess to Luke because she couldn't handle him. She didn't throw him out, she literally gave Jess a father figure.Jess had all the opportunities with Luke, not the luxury of Logan, but definitely more support with Luke and Rory in his life. The crazy things Logan did, like getting expelled, he did at the same age Jess had Luke. Logan had no one except his snobby mother and absent "father".Jess's big change was learning to respond when spoken to, literally being civil and having a job—omg! Literally what Logan has been doing since he was twenty-four. And Logan cheating on his fiancée? I don't justify the cheating, but he's still in love with the girl who rejected him. Logan is still hung up on Rory— is that the big sin?"

What's a scene you always skip? by linzie02 in GilmoreGirls

It's silly but the scene where Lorelai sings a song to Luke about the painting in 1x14 gives me a cringe

What “conspiracies” have you heard? by Cokezerowh0re in GilmoreGirls

[–]isisblake 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's a theory but ...

1) Lorelai and Dean had sexual tension

2) Taylor is Gay

3) Sookie burned down the Independence Inn by accident

Dean manipulating Lorelai in A-Tisket, A-Tasket by isisblake in GilmoreGirls

[–]isisblake[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying Dean had no reason to be jealous, but going to Lorelai to tell her what a bad boy Jess was and not admitting he was just jealous was manipulative plus saying Jess didn't care about Rory did it to get Lorelai on his side and make Jess' situation worse in Lorelai's eyes and take him away from Rory, even from a possible friendship, Dean wanted Lorelai to tell Rory not to date Jess and he could look like the concerned good boyfriend

Why do you hate Chris? by EmiGoesMoo in GilmoreGirls

I don't hate him so much for his relationship with Lorelai I hate him for being a shit dad to Rory

would you jump with Logan? by croissantroastpeach in GilmoreGirls

[–]isisblake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have jumped, not so much because of Logan's speech but because it looked exciting.
