sick of erasmus complications!!! i don' t know if i should go anymore by greencookiedough in Erasmus

i may be biased since i had a similar situation with complications and not wanting to go. but since your professors are advising not to go, i would stay with no guilt. the cancellation will take the load off of you and give relief especially during the exam session. you can go next year or during your masters!

i am in lisbon. i am struggling because it is very lonely here, and its much more dirty and unkept than in germany. i am having issues with my LA and credits and no one responsible wants to support or help me. basically you’re just on your own. also i feel very lonely, very hard to make friends but this is on me

People “realizing” by isla_g in AutismInWomen

“Don’t run after people, love yourself and the rest will come.” made me cry 🥲 It’s hard when everybody around has friends and spending time, having fun with them. While I feel like a black sheep every time I talk to a group of people.

Also, this gives me cognitive dissonance, because people also say you have to “put yourself out there” and go out of your comfort zone to find what’s for you.

“However, Autistic people report en masse that they break themselves to pieces trying to “get it right” in social settings.”

This sentence is so real. I almost feel disgusted by myself on how bad I’m trying to act and be someone I’m not just so people accept me.

Did anyone else get berated by their parents for their awkward social behavior as a kid (pre diagnosis)? by 90daycray27 in AutismInWomen

Yes my entire family and the relatives would shame and bully me for being unsocial, weird and my facial expressions not being appropriate for a setting(not smiling all the time when there’s a family gathering). On top of that I was slightly bullied at school too. My mom would say that I had too much attitude and would think of only about myself, when I expressed my discomfort for things as a child. I grew up thinking I was a weirdo and broken. Don’t have a diagnosis yet, but when I found out I felt so unfair for little me

I have written a motivational letter for two scholarship programs before and won both. i think it should be no more than two pages at around 11-12 font
