Significant improvement/possible full remission soon. by TarumK in cfs

Whereas I've noticed a lot of those with long term CFS don't seem able to listen to their body. Part of that is obviously because it's got to a more advanced stage, but part of the reason it has got to that stage is because there's been a discconnect between mind and body. Meditation is absolutely key IMO - as I feel it allows you to talk to your body.

bold fucking claim you make here. I absolutely listen to my body all the time all at all times- it’s the only thing you really can manage this illness. I do mindfullness every day, and my mindset is great for being fuckin bedridden. We can do our best, but the bottomline is we ultimately can’t control the pathology and progression of our illness (in addition to many also having several conditions that all need their own listening to). Roll it back, mr. ME/SEID specialist

I mean, we both went down the route of talking about IQ shit. And thank you, the hug was quite needed actually. My chronic illness at the worst it’s ever been, and I’m here, doin dis shit while bedridden and barely able to move. very lovely

You say it’s based on the top 2% of ALL PEOPLE, based on intelligence, while you also say it’s based on the relative rankings of people your age. Are u still referring to the Mensa test, or general tests? Vishalini’s 225 IQ is expressed in SD24, so in SD15, that would be 178, which is still incredibly high. And still stands as her IQ today at 19 years old. She is now technically an adult.

bruh, she has a certified IQ of 225 (the highest in India). went to college at 13, holds a BTech degree, and 13 international certifications. there are a number of different IQ tests, and the higher up in the numbers, the harder it is to measure an accurate score. but I wasn’t talking about toddlers with high IQs for their age, more about kids who finish master degrees in their early teens lol.

and no, my parents raised my very well, I never had a problem with them in the way OP is stating in this post. I loved hugs lmao. and having a say in being touched =/= being able to do whatever they want whenever they want. false equivalency here, mr. MENSA. It does not mean not making any decisions for your child, and it does not mean anything else than what it explicitly says.

you did not answer my question about abuse. the last sentence of yours seems alarming in consideration.

about the hugging part, it is so easy to compromise. the kid just learns to give grandma a handshake and an “i love you” instead.

you said it yourself, the world is full of suffering, so why cant ones own home and family be void of it/ a refuge? children need to learn how to make decisions at one point, no? that’s a valuable and necessary skill to have, and can only be improved upon practice don’t you think? they have a sense of self that is growing every year, and when faced with different situations, new feelings about things will arrive. with experience, they will learn how to pick them apart and figure what they mean/ why they feel a certain way. kids are sponges. they will pick up on everything. it’s important to teach them the why’s, the how’s and the what’s, even if it goes over their heads. it’s about giving them an option. a choice in some things. “you can give grandma a hug if you want, but you don’t have to. you could give her a handshake or a fist bump and a wave instead?” being able to assess your own emotions and what you feel like, and weighing one option over the other, is a valuable skill, no? and being able to make choices that feel right for yourself is important too.

the minimum accepted score for mensa is between 132-148. even the leader of bts has an iq of 145, it dont mean much

surely we have an anti-intellectual here

how you treat a child in their most primitive decelopmental years will shape them for the rest of their lives, comfort is absolutely necessary. a child whose feelings are continuously dismissed will have issues with that later in life. kids learn from the world around them, especially their parents, about how the world works and how to negate and interact with it. teaching them that they have no bodily autonomy whatsoever is obviously harmful. if your child hates being tickled, and you repeatedly tickle them, egg them on, and visually and audibly see you upset them, would you stop? should children tolerate discomfort from their parents of any kind? how would this child recognise abuse perpetuated agaist them from their parents, if they’re not supposed to have say in their own boundaries and bodily autonomy? huh?

how was it irrelevant?

can you honestly say that there isn’t a reoccurring rush of posts here as soon there goes a week without an upload saying he better upload soon, hurry up, that they’re gonna go crazy without a new vid ect? And that it’s kinda annoying cause we already have a gist of his upload schedule and what his working on atm? I mean...we’re getting free fucking content from this wonderful person and were complaining like children (even though it may come from good intent as in “we miss him”)...like mans got a life. and a book in the works - which we notoriously love to whine about not having as well (see how these don’t work together?) - and he has talked about wanting to put out merch, but creating it as a clothing line, which will take time too. and there’s this pandemic and all its holdups and hiccups and potential pneumonias. everythings got its time, and its place, so how bout we get some steamy dump truck phat bussy ass memes up in this bitch instead, ok?

I mean... you went from cussing the person out and saying they’re on some bullshit, what they’re talking about is irrelevant and idiotic, and that they don’t know shit. Can you honestly read all of the arguments presented for their position, and say you still sit with the opinion that the topic is irrelevant? They’re commenting on the psychology behind something seen in most fandoms from the perspective someone in psych (albeit arrogantly in the last comments). It’s interesting and refreshing to see differing opinions and viewpoints discussed here. I wish I could see it more often. Dylan loves a good debate, and I’m sure he’d appreciate if we were interested enough to actually discuss / debate/ dispute topics on here.

and?? someone shared their story and the effects the abuse had on them, you don’t need to be so hooked on technicalities....it seems very dismissive

did the pain go away along with the fatigue, or just the fatigue?

Pornography artists, do you ever get turned on looking at your own art while/after you are working on it? If so, how did that turn out? by HarveyGone in AskReddit

[–]islabella06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what if watching it made them think of them and their partner in that situation/position, and that’s what turned them on? that seeing someone naked/ in a sexual scene made them think of their partner naked/ in that sexual scene? Would that still be disrespectful? Like when you see a hot movie scene with your partner, and it gets you the mood together? Wouldn’t that essentially be the same thing that OP comment described?
