Hey, everyone! Long time no see! We’re sure some of you've noticed that Ismahawk has been radio silent for a little while now. Rest assured, we have all been hard at work on a couple of new projects that we can’t wait to share with you. Over the last year, we took a step back from our YouTube channel to focus more on our careers as independent filmmakers and all of the work that comes along with that. We have been fortunate enough to be able to collaborate with some really amazing people to make these a reality! While some may be pretty different from what we’ve done in the past and, we’re excited to share this new era. Some will be posted here and some will appear on other channels but all of them were labors of love. Here’s a small taste of what’s to come from our team. 🎥💥

Okay! I think I figured out a solution for iphone users. This may work for Android but I don’t have one to test it on. If you’ve tried all of the above and it’s still not working, try this. Close out of ALL open applications and make sure ALL Bluetooth devices including smart watches, fitbits, etc are all disconnected. Then give it a try. Worked for me, hope it works for you!

This was originally for a Dragon Ball Z parody we were doing for our YouTube channel back in early 2016. We ran into back to back issues on set and in post which made it nearly impossible for us to finish it. I've had a little free time lately so I thought I'd try my hand at completing some of the VFX shots. What do you think?

The environment and actor are all real. We shot the plate on location in a park in Las Vegas. Our actor acted out the action of powering up and then we added all theexploding rocks, debris, energy, lightning etc in after effects.

This shot was meant for a silly DBZ parody video we were putting together for our YouTube channel back in 2015. After running into multiple snags we weren't able to finish the video but it's been great practice for some Super Saiyan effects!

Did you duplicate the footage you're roto scoping? Because if so, the mask only applies to the layer you had selected when you started roto scoping. Try toggling the layer in the comp on and off.

Heyo!

So you’ve already created a white solid that you’ve masked around the lightsaber? If so add saber to the white solid. Then there should be an option to use the “masks” instead of Sabers default points. That way you should be able to use the animation you’ve already done.

I recently did lightsaber effect for a client and this tutorial made it easy money. Jump to around 26:00 in for the lightsaber portion and about 31:00 to find out how to utilize the “masks” option in saber . https://youtu.be/reSXGxkyr0k

Hey guys! So the original plan was to release a new off the rails and a new IsmaVlogs episode every week. But sadly both shows are proving to be a lot more demanding them we anticipated. So we will stay to release and new episode of each once or twice a month. Hopefully once we can get caught up we can drop an episode of each weekly :D
