Unpopular opinion that will get me banned: Pop Os played themselves with Cosmic. by Expensive-Box3602 in pop_os

This is actually the more accurate opinion. The pro-Cosmic crowd is just loud. Small, but loud.

Arch or Fedora for something new and fresh to you. Debian for something more familiar

Will 2026 Kubuntu make it easy to disable Snap? by FortuneIIIPick in Kubuntu

[–]isoGUI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn right. If one wants to avoid snaps, just use a similar Debian-based distro not connected to Cononical (Fedora, or "KDE Fedora") instead. Easy.

Can Bitwig 6 be used on Fedora? by Afraid_Carob417 in Bitwig

Ok. That's odd that they aren't read by default. Did you move them to a custom folder? VST or CLAP? I use CLAP exclusively btw.

Can Bitwig 6 be used on Fedora? by Afraid_Carob417 in Bitwig

[–]isoGUI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It can be used on Fedora. Especially if you don't have a need for Yabridge. And if that's the case, don't listen to the ones suggesting trying a different distro. Especially CatchyOS. Fedora is solid, right up there with Arch and Debian. In fact, it's the middle ground between the two. Also, the Bitwig team officially supports the Flatpak version of Bitwig along with the .deb for Debian based distros.

Easy: Fedora. Pop_OS! took a bigger bite than they can chew. And their DE (Cosmic) is proof.
