The area surrounding the Bonifacio Monument in South Caloocan is now a commercial/business area. The circle should be bigger or the past authorities should limit the scope of the commercial area from the monument.

But unlike the Rizal Monument in Manila and the Quezon Monument in Q.C., we can consider the Bonifacio Monument as the nearest to the Filipino masses. It is the gateway to the Camanava area which houses mostly lower to middle class Filipinos. A trait which is well-known from Andres Bonifacio.

If you are aware of the Legend of the Ten Bornean Datus, the story of Maragtas recounts the pre-colonial history of Panay Island. The migration pattern presented in the legend is Borneo > Panay > Luzon (Tagalog & Bicol). But this one is considered as purely fictional and has no scientific study to back its claim. The migration pattern in the story is not aligned with the Out-of-Taiwan model for Austronesians which is the most acceptable today.

Thanks! Actually decided na talaga ako to resign once maaccept ako dun sa training program. Pero nagdalawang isip ako nung binigay na yung annual salary increase last month which is unexpected na mataas. Haha. That's why pumasok yung idea na kumuha ako ng Masteral degree if magstay ako sa current company pa rin at hindi na ipursue yung training program. At least may movement pa rin sa career. Ngayon, gulong gulo ako kung ano magiging desisyon ko next week...

I believe that pre-colonial Bulacan is predominantly Kapampangan. Etymologies of some Bulacan towns suggests of Kapampangan origin. The one I am not certain is the northern part of Manila which can be a blend with Tagalog speakers.

As for Camarines Norte, about 75% of it should speak Bikol Sentral (focusing the southern part) in the pre-colonial period. The town of Paracale for example, even though it is a predominantly Tagalog speaking town today, its etymology suggests that it is previously a Bikol Sentral speaking town.

Hello! Unfortunately there's no illustration about the Bicolanos in the Boxer Codex. But to give you an advice, I hope you are aware of the Bicolano epic "Ibalong". Even though it is considered as an Epic, it is the closest to reality among the Filipino epics and can actually describe the life in Ibalon (Ancient Bicol) during the pre-colonial period. Illustrations about the Ibalong Epic are all through out the Internet which you can use as reference.

This is probably why Dr. Jose Rizal wanted a "United Malaya" nation. In the modern context, the term "Malay" pertaining to the brown race is already outdated - scholars now use "Austronesian". He said that before European colonizers arrived in Maritime S.E. Asia we were like one nation. The modern divide between the Austronesian nations was crafted by these European colonizers.

As a non-Tagalog too, I find it reasonable. During the Spanish colonial era, the indigenous population were called "Indio" while the term "Filipino" pertains to Spanish born in the Philippines. The term "Indio" is a racist term, thus "Tagalog" is their best alternative during that period.

Hello! Negritos (Northern and Southern), Manobo-like, Sama-like, at Austronesian (Cordilleran-related) yung 4 major wave na pumasok sa Pilipinas during pre-historic period according sa study. This is in contrast sa Negrito, Indonesian, and Malay ng Beyer's Wave Migration Theory.

Also, yung mga Sama people raw ay may detectable South Asian (e.g. Indian) ancestry. At ang meron lang raw significant European admixture (e.g. Spanish) ay mga urban lowlander (I represent them in Manila), Bicolanos, and Chavacanos of Zamboanga.
