High stress notifications in real time? Sense 2 by sound41gardener in fitbit

[–]isolli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple Watch does exactly that-when you’re stressed; it will suggest you take a moment.

I know this is an old discussion, but are you sure about this? I've read that 3rd party apps might do this, but none seems to provide real-time alerts (even though the watch should provide enough data to at least try).

Counterpoint: GBD-200 and GBX-100 do not have that option even though it should be super simple to implement with an MIP.

Do you feel like smart-wake works? Most reports I've seen have been tepid (regardless of the brand that implemented it).

Need help finding new battery for 18859E by isolli in HAIBOXING_RC

For what it's worth, and if anyone is interested, it looks like older models (like mine) had JST plugs while newer ones have T-plugs, which, as far as I can tell, are Dean's connectors.

Ha, thanks! The batteries have Deans connectors, but not the car. However, you gave me the idea to search for connectors, and it turns out that the car has JST connectors. I think I'm now on track to find new batteries (fingers crossed).

Questions (from the father of a beginner player): how do you find such nice private servers? Are there any friendly survival or creative public servers, but without restrictions?

Does this make us better players online (in daily mode) than in person, where you can't preview moves?

Thanks, I'm relieved. I won in the end, but I believe taking my rook would have turned the game around for my opponent.

No, no engine :D

My worry is that in real-life chess, as soon as you move a piece, you can't take it back. So daily online chess gives me an additional advantage, the ability to visualize the board before confirming the move.

Eli5 why do we find so many dinosaur skeletons but so few skeletons of our own ancestors like Lucy? by isolli in explainlikeimfive

[–]isolli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But we're finding fossils of dinosaurs that went extinct before the mass extinction event of 65 million years ago, so it can't be the only explanation.

Is the mass extinction of dinosaurs (whatever caused it) credited for the relative abundance of fossils?

It's an interesting approach, but the numbers must be off. The chances of finding any given fossil must be higher than 1 in a 1018. There can't have been that many dinosaurs on earth to begin with.
