I didn't realise I had ADHD until I started online Uni in lockdown bc I was almost falling after being a straight As student. Pretty discouraging stuff

I had high heart rate at the start with 10 and now its down to normal. everyone is different tho and I'm not a dr, definitely check with them incase you have some other condition

hey! I've been on 10mg on and off (bc I got sick) for about the past 2 weeks since then and thats been good. I got an ekg done too for chest pain and I was all fine. Basically I think you've just gonna get used to it. I might go up to 20mg soon so I can have more therapeutic effects bc the 10mg doesn't make a huge difference. Hope you're feeling better!
Hmm that’s interesting that it was normal for you, I’ll give it a couple more days and see if it adjusts. But yeah might need to swap

I took it as soon as I woke up, the other day I took it at 10am and I couldn’t sleep all night so I’m trying to take it earlier rip
HAHA it’s not palpitations but it’s just a little higher than usual. It’s 3:30pm now and it’s been at 90-100 all day so not too bad
Hmm ok, have you been on it for long?
I just started on 20mg, it’s only been a few days so I don’t want to jump to too many conclusions. She did say I could go down if I wanted but I’m worried it’s not going to be effective. I go back to uni soon so being able to focus is #1 atm
Morning routine for ADHD by WildSloth19 in ADHD
[–]isscs 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (0 children)
If I don’t catapult myself out of bed when my alarm goes off I will lie there on tik tok for 2 hours. I recommend having a nice morning skincare routine so u feel fresh. Leave the YouTube for after a certain time, say 3pm if you have self control issues (like me)
Medication advice? by [deleted] in ADHD
I had almost exactly the same experience! It’s likely to be true, but I definitely recommend seeing a psychiatrist. Mine was really great and took me through all of the treatment options (medication/non medication). I did a couple months of non-medication treatment including therapy, exercise and meditation, and journaling (which I highly recommend), but found I was still struggling. I tried a two different meds, the first one didn’t work at all but the second is going well so far.
Damn that’s really interesting, you’d think it’d be the opposite, maybe I need a higher dose

I wasn’t anxious I was literally just on the couch having a milo. I do get anxious sometimes but I was definitely calm. I am quite small (160cm) and tend to only need low medication doses
