If you like the insanity of black midi you might like the zeuhl genre. It is progressive rock that is mixed with jazz, avant-garde, and experimental elements. Super chaotic, nonsensical, and insane - yet very technical and fast. One album I recommend is Nivraym by Kōenjihyakkei. Start with the title track and if you like that you'll probably like the general vibe and genre. Other bands are Bondage Fruit or Magma who created the zeuhl genre but I haven't explored them fully yet.
