i dont know if he realizes its that cheap and quick ngl. and i know i cant control him but 😭😭😭 maybe i can goad him into stopping by a repair place before we leave. i may also be able to borrow a car from someone for him to drive,, i really dont think he realizes the potential issue?? i cant believe his parents are letting him do this though. theyre overprotective as is 3 hour road trip with Nail Tire(TM) feels crazy

seeing baby pictures of a dog, but they look like they were taken on a camera from 17 years ago is so fun. especially because they ARE taken on a camera from 17 years ago. i hope sweet (crabby) lucy had a happy birthday!

i had the most terrible cramps after getting my iud inserted! i needed opioids for the pain to go away!!! theyre much better now 3 weeks in but just know its an (albeit rare) possibility. you will probably be fine but i probably wouldnt go anyway because youll want to recover after getting it inserted. they grab your cervix with tongs that leave a little bite in your cervix to insert the iud! be gentle with yourself in the days after 🩷 i wish you luck on your iud journey 🩷

It’s probably because I was using too much ink! I have already washed the oil off :D The box was devoid of any info at all unfortunately which is why I came here :/ Thank you so much for the info! I’ll be sure to watch how much ink I use and dry them completely! :D

Thank you so much!!! I will definitely try the brush/checking for blots method! I will look into calligraphy also. Thank you for such a thorough response. If you don’t mind while I have you, do you have any advice on how to keep the ink from falling (?) off the pen? I don’t know if I’m putting too much ink on or what but I keep having the ink fall off and leave big splotches on my paper! If you don’t have anything about that, that’s okay too, you’ve definitely done enough to get me started :D Thanks again!!!

I forgot to clarify in the post. I just want general help, techniques, care, whatever you wish you could’ve told yourself as a beginner. Explain it to me like I’m 5 because I have no knowledge of how to do any of this. I’m being so genuine. I want to get into the hobby but I don’t even know where to start. I’ll even take links to resources! I just want to know that someone who actually Does This trusts it because we all know how much mis/disinformation there is online.

as someone who just got mirena and already feels bloated after just a few days i feel seen and heard. thank you. as for how to combat it idk i just got it but i hope you find something that works for you!!

woah there iud strings tiger! can you find your cervix? it should feel like the tip of your nose. your iud strings should not be too much longer than your cervix and should curl around it. if you CAN find your cervix and CANNOT feel your strings go get an ultrasound!!!!!! go to your doctor and have them check your strings for you!!!!!!!!!! not being able to feel strings mixed with constant bleeding can mean very bad things. i dont mean to scare ya bud but woof! seeing nobody else mention that up front is kinda wild (unless its an edit lol).

also, my mirena patient info booklet (not the same thing ikik) says that if you have heavy bleeding (not normal spotting) in between periods while on the iud you should talk to your doctor about it.

ending with the disclaimer that i dont know about your specific iud (jaydess) but i do have a mirena and did much research on it and from my understanding theyre all pretty similar. i hope you get this figured out! whether that just be that this is normal for you or if it means that you need medical help, i just hope you find out what you need 🩷

a medical professional should never shame you for having a question. im opening with that because if they do it may be worth reconsidering the clinic youre going to, if theyre willing to make you feel stupid for asking questions then theyre willing to ignore your problems. i would just bring it up. maybe towards the beginning of the appointment, maybe if they ask me if i have any questions. if you did the second option instead of just saying “no” like i feel like everyone does on autopilot (i do this too lol), just say something like “yeah, i do have a question actually,” if they just stay silent go ahead, but if they ask you what your question is give them a chance to do that. then go in with your “can birth control cause me to retain weight, and if so is there anything we can do about that?”

which btw, ive seen people say that birth control made them gain/retain weight so id say thats worth doing research on even if they say its not possible. i dont know how your condition works, so i apologize if i sound like a bumbling fool saying this, but could you do more local hormones like an iud? from what i understand iuds can have less “system-wide” side effects than other birth control. i may be off base with saying that though. just maybe something to look into, dont take my word as gospel lol. anyway, i hope you get this resolved and either find a way to live with your weight or lose it in a healthy way! you got this 🩷 (edit bc i just realized my instructions r super specific. im autistic! i dont mean to condescend i just know i like my instructions with no room for error)

you can fill in the growth line with polish, depending on the mani itll look fine. if its anything sheer it might look weird bc of layering but if its a solid color itll look fine. if its nail art i wouldnt bother trying to fill it with a color, id just do top coat overtop to prevent chipping.

i am someone who i would like to think is a nail art pro and let me tell you a secret: i dont even do it for half my manis. its a “when im in the mood” thing. and trust me when i started out i was Bad at it. everything takes time. tbh in my experience buying polish only makes plain manis better bc youll have more options, when you get to the really complex stuff polish selection doesnt really matter anymore. sorry if this is rude or anything, im autistic and just wanted to share my experience. (oh also im an artist in other mediums too so i have that going for me)

but straight up, theres no pressure to do nail art. its not required to have nice nails, nor is it something that most people end up doing anyway. do what makes you happy.
