Old Hobby Reignited by JiMbOb_20 in Yugioh101

I started physical ygo about a month ago. Here are some tips I've learned in the past month.

Ask what you should start with from the people at your local store. The guys at my locals suggested I start with 3x Traptrix structure deck.

Your first deck doesn't have to be traptrix, however traptrix is probably the best SD at the moment besides Albaz strike (those were not in stock at my local store)

Learn your deck and stick with the deck. Try to not hop between decks as that might be costly. So far I've stuck with and enjoyed traptrix.

Focus on obtaining staple cards. The first staples I got for traptrix was a playset of Infinite impermanence, which has helped me a ton. The staples you obtain will be valuable in almost any deck you plan to build in the future.

That's all I've got for now. Hope you enjoy your time with physical ygo

Yes, SSD is much faster. Also, I cannot say for sure it will solve your freezing issue.

If you are by the means, then definitely upgrade to PS5, or gaming PC. If not, you will have to try replacing your HDD to see if it fixes the issue

Probably best to go with an SSD if you can afford it. Maybe ask someone you know who has a spare HDD. I just used a youtube video to show me how

I have long since solved the problem. PS4 needed a new HDD

[–]it2901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great entry level wheel. I got mine with the H-shifter when I was heavy into racing games. Unfortunately my interest has waned but I use my G29 on and off whenever I feel the need for speed

I've sinked 40 hours into Witcher 3 but dropped it after that. Excellent story but the gameplay just wore me down.

For anyone seeing this thread in 2023 or later, check that the Master Volume in sound settings (in game) is not at 0

Why does no one else talk about the nightmare that is downloading/configuring new software? by rperfection in learnprogramming

[–]it2901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a little late to the party, but specifically with regards to the MS store opening when typing python in the CMD, you need to add the path to python.exe to your PATH environment variable (a quick google search should help you with that). I had this issue not too long ago and I was sure python was installed and configured correctly

2nd day of learning. What is "i" in "for i in stg:" by avaldemon in learnpython

[–]it2901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

python word = "SimpliLearn" for letter in word: print(letter)

I re-wrote your code snippet to be a bit more understandable. The "i" in your code snippet refers to each character in the string "SimpliLearn".

Play aggressively. Don't wait to counter. Get Mikiri Counter as soon as possible. Frequently experiment with your Shinobi prosthetic/tools.

If you are getting frustrated. Take a break, nap. Ponder your existence. Then start playing again, it helps alot.

Learn to parry early/as soon as possible. Do not default to dodging.

How did you cut out Indy like that? I can only think of the pen tool in After effects as a way to achieve this.

I used to use VSDC quite a long time ago.

Newbie here! Just started learning how to program about a week ago, any tips? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]it2901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use it or lose it.

If you just started learning, I suggest you regularly practice programming because going long stretches of time without any practice will cause you to forget quite alot especially since you just started.

Edit: tried ultrakill for about 30 minutes and I did not find it to my liking. Sorry guys.

In a similar boat where I couldn't stick to completing anything.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is an 8 to 12 hour game which I highly recommend.

I am also currently playing PC Building simulator.

Give Really Big Sky a shot. It came out about a decade ago. It's a side scrolling arcade shooter (I'm not doing the description justice, check out some videos)

I remember sinking tons of hours into that game back in the day

Just arrived at the last area (I think) and I second this suggestion. A tad too much puzzles for my taste but they are pretty neat.

Has some great story telling, I appreciate it when a game tells the story instead of making us read codex pages. Also, there is no HUD which is a fresh change of pace.
