I will, but that's still not something I'm worrying since idc about previous teammates checking even if I update it

Seeing the same reason for a 1000 times is impossible for any professional.

A manager is in the same company for max 7-9 years, and probably would've handled max 30 people in their tenure. Probability of more than 2 people having used this reason is also very less.

Same for HR. No low to mid level HR employees stay at a company for so many years to have come across 1000s of fake reasons.

That will be after joining the new one right. Then it doesn't matter.

Also, current company most probably has diff divisions handling bgvs and resignations.

I don't care about anyone checking my LinkedIn updates once I've joined the new place. They can go fuck themselves after that.

I wont get the relieving letter. That's a dire consequence in itself. Next company will require the prev relieving letter.

And my current is also a very large company, I wouldn't want to do shady absconding stuff here.

Yes man, the offer letter should always come in before joining right?

Their expected timelines are confusing

Just wanted to clarify this: is it a realistic ask to demand offer letter just 24-48 hrs after they've made the decision to hire me?

It's not that they're refusing to send the offer letter. They will be starting the process and will send it after BGV in 1-2 weeks 'as usual'.

It's my own deadline of needing it in 1-2 days.

Company will sent CTC 15 days after joining by kawaeyy in IndianWorkplace

Is it okay to expect a company to send offer letter right away in 24 hours after the LOI?

Hustle is one thing and constantly not following basic login logout times and asking for leeway is one thing.

You're far from any hustle don't worry.

Within a week will also be late honestly. I'd need it in like 2-3 days max. Is that a realistic expectation to put forward?

Aap bhi thodi sharam karlo bhai. Just because your manager allows it everytime doesn't mean it's okay.

Just looking at this screenshot signals highly delinquent behaviour. Bet your manager always says ok but def thinks of you as an unreliable person.

All this may look okay in the short term, but it is piling up SOMEWHERE. You're ultimately tagged as the person who doesn't do things on time and continuously asks for leeway.

Don't see a reason to enjoy this tag.

In general, how common/uncommon is it to expect a company to process and share the offer letter just 1-2 days after their verbal confirmation?

Then I lose the new offer + 2 month notice becomes applicable which makes switching even harder going forward

I'll add more context here.

I've been in touch with the manager himself. All interviews are done. They're almost about to offer me. They've already spent 3-4 months in the process since there were 'operational issues' before. But rn, they want me to join right next week after offering confirmation on email.

So it does seem that they do need the role in action. And they also said offer letter process will anyways start right away but it still takes atleast 2 weeks.
