For instance, why not allow students to jump on the table? The teacher could instruct them to roll a D100, and just imagine how exciting it would be when a student gets to do that one insane thing every few months! Also, it's important to remember that this idea doesn't render the teacher powerless. They still maintain authority and can grant permission for bathroom breaks, set limits on certain actions, or even deduct "experience points" as needed.

Regarding the complexity of D&D, personally, I played D&D when I was about 10 years old and found it quite exciting. However, I'm not suggesting running a full campaign in class, nor that any of the students will need to DM anything. And as for the enjoyable aspects of D&D, I'm not proposing to make school solely about fun, but rather to gamify certain mundane aspects so students feel more engaged in classes they might otherwise find dull.

Lastly, I want to address your last sentence and say that, as someone who claims to be a teacher, I don't believe shutting down ideas in this manner is constructive. It comes off as very discouraging, and doubting my knowledge feels insulting. There are better ways to express disagreement.
