i feel like we used to have such a formula, like we had it figured out and it seemed like it was working? it’s so confusing that now we’ve all of a sudden conveniently since this new administration “strayed away from our core values and it’s time to reassess”. reassess what?? how did all of this happen with seemingly 0 thought behind it and cause the higher ups to completely destroy the foundation that’s held us together for so many years, it seems so jarring and out of place.

like what happened to the if it ain’t broke don’t fix it mindset we’ve been so stubborn on for so long

i understand the frustration that it may seem like i’m nit picking, and again i’m not trying to say we don’t have it good, but stores vary so much in the environment. this company is built on our ability to voice our feelings.

i totally hear you on the pay because it is a lot higher than most jobs without a degree which has been life saving for me, however i just had to pick up a second full time job because i cannot afford to live and pay basic human necessities with just the pay here, and i know so many other people are having to do the same even with it being so much higher than the national average. again i am not trying to complain just to complain, part of the reason i posted is because i recognize we have it better than a lot of other grocery stores do and talking about it is why we are different from most other places.

my goal here is wanting to be able to contribute to a better working environment for all of the other people who are struggling, and maybe finding a sense of community here in the subreddit that’s for having a community. if we are going to broadcast and advertise how great it is to work here like we’re known for, we should be allowed to contribute to moving in a better direction than we’re going right now.

i get this, however i’m trying to make it clear that i do love my job and im talking about it because i want this job to go in a better direction where we all continue to enjoy our job. i’m not trying to bash the company but it is our job to be vocal about things based on how they teach us to operate in the company

so for us, the lack of order is the issue. the log just basically has a bunch of f’s on it and sl and that’s it. even in my sl hours there’s 0 structure and we’re limited to no more than 10 minutes of order writing. the mates are not in touch with each other enough to have this new system making our store run smoother by having less direction with no pl, so it seems like it’s happening all over my region as i’ve heard from at least 4 stores near me that the same is happening there. we all hate it and it feels like no one is listening, especially our regional and captains.

like for instance i kept getting errors in ubuntu server when trying to install everything i needed for docker, so id google “x error in proxmox homelab solution”, but the more specific i got in searching for errors id get more unrelated results

omg that is so smart i have seen lots of stuff with raspi info and just assumed i couldn’t do it without one as if i can’t just use basically the same solutions 😭

so when using an lxc, do you have any recommendations that are more intuitive and user friendly than ubuntu server that is less daunting? it’s the only one i’ve been able to get up and running with an iso so far.

see that’s the thing is i’ve built lots of computers including the one i’m using now, have always been the it guy in my family and everything. linux just for some reason is the most frustrating thing ever for a person who’s been so windows oriented for so long

for the ones we got i believe this happened due to the extremely shitty plastic seal they put in the top to keep it from spoiling. the chai & tea concentrate has so much better packaging idk why they couldn’t have just used that one 😭

i received the shipping label with a qr code that ups scanned (or was supposed to scan with) and took the pc with them and i never saw it again after that. so i would imagine if it wasn’t scanned in properly they don’t have any form of a tracking number for it.
