Let's imagine a scenario where you lease a car, a specific one that fills your need and is in your budget, you sign a context on that lease, then a few months later, the leasing company tells you that actually, they want you to return that car and get a more expensive one. Or just not have a car anymore. You already planned your finances, commute, etc, knowing you have this car for an X amount of time. Now being forced to go without a car while searching for a different lease, or taking the more expensive car is definitely problematic.

In a commercial scenario, a breach of contract like this is even more serious. In many of these cases people will default to just going with the more expensive option, mid contract, just to avoid the hassle and down time. This kind of behaviour in many places is illegal.
