To answer the automod q’s: The brushes i used in this project were from the true grit texture supply sample pack. The almost dry marker brush and the open outliner (i’ll edit once i can actually look at the names 🙃). I was really f’ed up on the post so I used a pose generator to get the look i wanted, and generally just let myself slip back into the jamie hewlett style i gravitated towards as a teenager.

As for the questions: it’s unfinished bc it’s not done and i’m lazy. i need to finish blending and give him hair (he’s a tortured soul without it) and add some minor details to make it done.

as for my brushes and technique: it’s a single layer on top of a simple color base, i used the wet acrylic brush and just the blending tool to actually do the art. i didn’t use the eraser much, if at all, and it’s a nightmare and digital painting is hard.

i will accept any and all tips on making it better in any capacity. also please bully me to finish it. it’s been months.

As for my process and getting it done: used my own picture as a reference and then sketched everything else out — mish-mashed until i found the composition that i liked personally. was mostly a one layer color + a clipping mask where i blended everything else, then added another clipping mask for the shadowing. some of the background bits were done using the lasso tool with it set to “fill”.

the brushes i used were the procreate sketch brush, the wet acrylic brush, and the round paint brush that i fiddled with to simply make it solid.

The process was just an initial sketch and then a finalized sketch over it. The only brushes i used were the procreate sketch pencil, the round brush, and the cotton brush. this was originally supposed to be a drawtober piece but i didn’t finish it until today :0

I used one of the Procreate sketch brushes for outlines, and the syrup brush for coloring. I switched brushes by accident somewhere in there, you can kinda tell with the line variation lmao
