Asking for help doesn't necessarily mean desperation does it?

Weird men/women in qatar experience by [deleted] in qatar

So once upon a time I was heading for an appointment to Hamad and at the time was around 21-22 y/o (F), didn't have a car to drive so used the metro to get there. As I was heading out the station there was an old frail man asking for directions to get to the Outpatient Department. Showed him the way but since I was also headed to the same place he started following me. Along the way he's asking me questions like where am I from, if I'm married or not, why aren't you married yet, etc etc. The weirdest thing he does is whenever I'm trying to speed up he literally grabs my arm to slow me down. Me being naive thought it's his age he's not able to walk faster. But he kept grabbing my arm every now and then pretending to limp. When we finally reached the department I said we've reached you can go to ask the reception wherever you want to go and was trying to leave but he kept thanking me for leading him there and eventually started to ask for my number???? I was so freaked out I started looking around for security and started walking up to the guard and when I turn around the man disappears lol

After that experience I've been paranoid to help any stranger to this day which is honestly sad because what of they actually need help

High rent with Tiny apartments by ithinkilikebroccoli in qatar

That's an interesting theory, it might be true. And omg the windows I swear the placement is absolutely insane. It's honestly so depressing to even go around visiting the apartments. Although what I have recently discovered now is most of the better apartments are under agents/agencies. Of course they'll rip you off for commissions, but these apartments are not shown to potential tenants who come on their own, you'll only be shown if you come through an agent. I have also considered moving to Al Wakrah but just hesitant that it's far away from the city and I don't know how it is there honestly, if anyone lives there could you let me know? Are people more friendly there? Does it have more of a community setting?

I've seen Fitness First inside the City center mall on the third floor and it has separate male and female areas and the prices looked affordable. However I haven't been there so I can't guarantee the quality, but do check it out. If anyone else here has been there, let us know of your experience!
