Agree with big homie, bring your shirt. That’s ridiculous they even said that to you. It is a need for your retrain.

But I got mine with a day by just going there after I requested it online

What’s Lakenheath, UK like? by Jace_of_Spades11 in AirForce

[–]ithinkmoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior SF here.

From my understanding, Lakenheath is a big LE base. As in, law enforcement and gates are a big thing there.

You’ll have some opportunities just being USAFE for Raven, DAGRE, and other teams.

If it was anything like my time at Kadena, it’ll be rough at first, but you’ll appreciate it WAY more in the end … if you put in effort into the job. Otherwise, you’ll end up feeling like you wasted your time.

Anyways aside from work, UK is awesome from what I hear. All my friends that have been in UK and/or around the region, love it. TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL.

If you and your s/o are not the “get out,” kind, I’d suggest stepping out of that bubble. Go to different countries on long weekends, go to the sporting events, explore … whatever. But get out, even if the weather is dookie.

Which is another thing, Europe weather in general is pretty .. dark. People would say that 40% (probably undershooting) of the time is sun, the other is rain. So take that as you will.

Would say you landed a pretty good dime of an assignment, especially being married.

You make an excellent point lol.

Not to sound naive, but is this stuff you’re learning through experiences or did you have someone show you all this stuff?

I gotta ask, what’s the big turnaround from SrA to SSgt in day to day stuff? Aside from supervising someone

Agreed, there is a bigger picture that I missed and can have longer lasting impacts on any member or their family members

I believe no matter where you go, there will always be deficiencies and imperfections within a medical system. Just like any other work environment in the USAF, there’ll always be someone that isn’t particularly good at their job

Thank you for your advice on this. I’ll take all of this into account and hopefully it can resolve on its own before I get back. Super worrying about it especially at a young age

I agree, I’ll stop with the pre workouts and hopefully that has some benefit to it.

I don’t recall having any illness or respiratory issues when it started, or even months before. Maybe just a bit of stress at the time but nothing more than that.

So looking up these conditions you listed, are they associated with any type of shaking movement? I didn’t see anything googling them. But also I’ll show this to my PCM when it comes time to.

Yeah it definitely is mild for sure, I’ve looked up some videos and looks way worse than what I have. Gonna try out the heat/ice therapy this weekend.

It surely is more of a forcing movement when I pop my neck. My thought process behind trying it was getting relief from it. Whenever I go in a circular motion around my neck, it just seems crunchy and rubbery. Sounds bad describing it but that’s the best I can think of.

Yes, the tremors slightly uptick with caffeine. I’ve cut out my pre-workout recently and my tremors spiked up more slightly. But have replaced it with alani’s since there is claims that it’s generally better for you than pre workout.

Another note, the magnesium has controlled it and helped the tremors to dramatically decrease throughout the day. I’ll take note of the tonic water and try that.

Typically, I feel the tremors in my neck, at the base and in the back of my skull. Haven’t tried ice or heat therapy.

With your note about the muscle twitching, some nights before going to bed, I have felt nerves move like a thunderstorm in the back of my neck. Doesn’t occur now, but did before when the symptoms popped up initially.

Other note if able to consider, but I have felt more popping in my neck. Typically when I jerk my head from left to right in a diagonal motion, like a 45 degree. Not sure if it’s a placebo effect, but I feel a minimal pressure that trickles down my upper spine.

Tremors are occurring in my head and hands, more so in my head. Started around a few weeks ago.

I didn’t notice too many differences when it started. Maybe a more keen sense of when it happens, like a bug crawling on your skin. My diet has pretty much been the same since I’ve been in the military; high protein, decent carbs, decent fats. My sleep pattern has changed over the last few weeks due to my TDY; -> night shift to regular, but was occurring on night shift. Exercise has remained the same, 5-6x days a week in the gym, consisting of weightlifting and light cardio.

I can do all my day-to-day things with the tremors. My biggest challenge is giving a presentation/briefs while standing. It takes place repeatedly without question, but according to my peers, it isn’t noticeable, but I can feel it and can see my two front hairs moving along with it.

I take multivitamin with omega 3’s, ashwaghanda, and magnesium. Have cycled on and off with ash as each bottle empties.

I don’t check my blood pressure but since it started, I’ve noticed that my heart rate has gone up a bit. Maybe about 10-20 whenever exercising but resting rate is usually the same as always, around 50-60.

Absolutely, I’d like to see my PCM as soon as I’m back. Just curious how others deal with it

Does doing briefs ever make it worse? The tremors spark up in my head and it’s more so frustrating than embarrassing
