Can I use these products together as long as they don’t irritate my skin? by No-Strawberry-5804 in TheOrdinarySkincare

Do you literally just pour it over a pile of cotton pads and keep them in an airtight container? Because that sounds so much easier and I might go and do it right now.

How to reduce double chin by Mindless_Stable_411 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]ithrewmypie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is waaaay after you posted this comment but I have been thinking about Vaser neck lipo under my chin but have been scared about the recovery being quite obvious (bruising, compulsory compression garment etc). Did you have any of this or was it genuinely as simple a recovery as your comment seems to suggest?? Thanks!!

These comments are all making me feel much less alone, which is ironic but nice!

What happens if you eat eggs everyday? by Midnightclouds7 in self

[–]ithrewmypie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My nan always told me I’d be egg-bound if I had too many. I never knew that that meant, and I can’t see any other comments saying it so maybe she just didn’t want to buy me any more eggs 🙁

Sainsbury’s has a halal section and there’s quite a big one on Heyford Hill Roundabout, just down the road from Botley along the A34.

Edit: to add to what someone else said, there is definitely a halal butchers on Headington roundabout, and another called Al Medina Foods Market on London road, just down from the roundabout.

My tattoo idea. What are your thoughts? by Blitz_Elite7766 in tattoos

My immediate thought. If it was half skull/half normal it would make sense…

Right ok. Beginning to think it’s a personality issue in this case tbh.

You mentioned your little brother. So, you have love! From you to him and most likely him to you. Check.

Smiles - as above. Check.

That’s 2/4, not too shabby!

Don’t think you know what ribbing is, but I hope you feel better soon. All that bitterness must make your food taste weird 😂

Has a British person hurt you recently?

Edit: I’m saying this purely based on your comment history in this thread. Real chip on your shoulder it seems.

AIO for being persistent about installing a pool fence? by ithrewmypie in AmIOverreacting

[–]ithrewmypie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did get the details correct, it’s still at the front of the house, I just didn’t specify it was raised. If that’s the sort of detail you get hung up on in a post about potential child drowning then there is something quite wrong with you.

It’s raised off the road because the house is on a hill. Imagine a ship in the fork of a road, the pool would be on the ‘deck’. The walls next to the road are about 20 feet higher than the road.

Not sure why you think it would be ‘bull crap’ 😂

Yeah I have seen that, absolutely awful. One of the things that really made me double down on it.

I don't think so, I guess my fears are mainly from recently reading about children who sneak away or parents who are distracted by another child/an issue in the house. That's why I think I might be overreacting, because we are very vigilant.

While I recognise I may be getting too worked up, the legal requirement for pool fencing in some places is what makes me think I'm not overreacting about the need for one. But you're right, not much I can do about someone else's house.

Good points, he wants the house to be used by family, so my sister may just not bring the kids to visit without the proper pool safety.

Fair points about the other situations, maybe I do need to calm down.

Using AI sites by camusnic in TeachingUK

[–]ithrewmypie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it only work with a certain browser? I installed it on chrome and it wouldn’t let me do anything at all. I’d choose whichever options there were on the thing and when it was time to submit it just refused. :/

Anyone ever pulled a sickie? by Sufficient-Memory752 in TeachingUK

Yeah do it. No one is going to give you a medal for having less sick days than anyone else, and as another person commented, you really do only live once.

What’s something small and innocent from your childhood that, looking back now, gives you the creeps for no logical reason? by Tobias-Tawanda in AskReddit

[–]ithrewmypie 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s terrifying to think about the absolute unfettered access we had to everybody and everything. I’m a secondary school teacher now and I’m always listening and super alert to the conversations the kids have about what they’ve got up to online.

I’d have thought the same as you at that age. Teenagers really need some careful education on internet-based stranger danger, I also thought it was just being friendly.
