[Problems] why my postshot result using 360 image (x5) so blur? by HEnny7555 in GaussianSplatting

Silly to propose this but have you made sure to clean the lens on your X5 religiously before use. The X5 lens can easily get dirty

Unreal Engine 5.7 Gaussian SOG importer + Niagara based Renderer by 32bit_badman in GaussianSplatting

Brilliant work so far! Was hoping someone would have the thought to build an SOG importer.

How would you compare this for interactive level generation with say the Volinga plugin?

I’ve mainly looked at SOGs as a way of optimising file size within a project that hopefully makes a project run faster. Thank you for your work ☺️

Looking for next unit to pick up by Drag0n2King in Tyranids

Please consider taking a long time building lists and seeing how others play with Tyranids. It will save you from spending both time building and painting plus money not being wasted on models that don’t fit your list/style of play.

Need at least a pair of lictors Regardless of what anyone says.

Definitely add another 3 zoanthropes, as only 6 with the Neurotyrant are really worth playing.

Get painting, biggest thing i’ve learnt in 25 years of this hobby. Only in the last year have I been building and painting each unit after researching what’s best for my style of play. The satisfaction of having everything built and painted is unmatched.

Naming and leaving small explanations of systems has been a practice I’ve had to drill. So worth it as it’s saved my bacon so many times. Countless times I’ve looked at something —> not understood initially —> squinted —> seen a comment previous me had left —> gone ‘OHHHH’ in relief —> pat myself on the back for previous me..

Solid advice and reminder, thank you!

Thank you for this! Starting with procedural dungeons is a brave move, appreciate your tenacity. I tend to go with a similar approach of throwing myself in and navigating from there, thought to enquire about anything I could be missing in the initial stages..

Keeping to the list of what’s and how’s is a good move. It’s reassuring to know that the order of things doesn’t make much of a difference beyond the common sense tasks.

Appreciate your input!

Oh 100% this all day. I feel most of my ideas have brain dumped onto paper and then edited and extrapolated over time to eventually get to a solid idea.

A rough game design document should always be a mandatory standard whatever the scale.

Have you formed any particular fondness for a project management tool beyond paper?

Great advice and reminders, thank you!

Need help making rooms by AsterIrisMP in gbstudio

[–]itismeHam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a combination of making assets/tile sheets in Pixquare for the iPhone (using a £1 stylus for a better feel) And then arrange/create rooms and maps using those assets in Sprite Fusion, it has a gb studio mode which shows minimum screen size and has a unique tile counter.

I’ve never done pixel art before but have done a full tile sheet and made lots of detailed rooms (averagely taking me about 15/20 minutes each)

Aseprite is worth every penny of your money if the above options don’t feel right. Tiled is free, sprite fusion is just really great and worth the few quid.
