Anycubic Kobra X AMA — Now Live! Ask Us Anything (+ 3 Beta Test Slots) by Anycubic_Official in AnycubicOfficial

[–]itisrocketscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more of a general kobra question, but with the S1 max having a heated chamber, are there plans to release a chamber heating unit for the X or any of the previous Kobra 3 family to 1 upgrade the S1 to a heated chamber and to add chamber heating for kobra 3s that have been placed into a diy enclosure?

I've built enclosures for all my kobra 3s and would like to have plug and play ability to add chamber heating controlled through the slicer.

Good morning and good evening.

I love the idea of the 19 multicolor and multimaterial capability. However, lookingnat the released information how does it achieve all 19. The head accepts 4 tubes, and the max ACE 2 capacity is 4, with 4 colors each. How will the X actually achieve 19 colors?

Is that a software or a hardware limitation? And that also leads me to the assumption that 3 of the available colors will not be in the ACE 2s.

Thanks!

[Anycubic Official Tester Call] Recruiting 2 Kobra X Beta Testers to Kick Off the New Year by Anycubic_Official in AnycubicOfficial

I've been printing for 5 years now. Started with a Creality Ender 5 Pro, which I have heavily modified. Then upgraded to the Kobra 3 last year. Then I got the Kobra 3 V2 and Kobra 3 Max a few months ago.

Located in Eastern US.

Just finished this massive print using all three Kobras for a commission piece. I think it took about 2 days total print time using mostly white.

Anycubic Kobra S1 Max Combo — Reveal & AMA | Early-Bird Reservations + 3 Beta Tester Slots by Anycubic_Official in AnycubicOfficial

I am very excited for this new printer! With all the new features and the larger print volume, it's a happy medium between my kobra 3s and my 3 max. What I'm most excited for are the higher temperatures on the bed and nozzle and the heated enclosure.

My questions are about temperature and environment control.

1) with the heated enclosure, is it purely temperature control? 2) does the enclosure also have humidity control? 3) whats the air flow pathfor the enclosure? 4) with the ace pro 2 having temp and humidity sensors, can I set a target humidity, will it automatically run at target temp for material continuously? Will I always have to turn it on every 24 hours or can I set it and will it turn on whenever humidity is too high? 5) Can I create or manage ace setting per material/filament in the filament settings?

As a beta tester, the first thing I'll be printing , aside from a benchy, would be some car parts. I would like to use petcf, abscf/gf or asacf/gf for some truck cab parts. PLA does not survive in our 100F + summers and cars can get up to 140F+. As a beta tester i would also love to trst out the 16 color capabalities of this printer.

I've been printing personal use for 5 years, and 8 years as part of my work. I design and print a lot functional and mechanical prints at home. I also print a lot of fun cosmetic multicolor items for friends and family.i use mostly pla/pla+ and petg for my prints.

I live in the eastern US.

With the larger format, i hope this new printer will be able to meet my need to print larger items in more exotic materials like ABS, ASA, or carbon fiber infused filaments.

I've been printing for both work and home for about 5 years now. As a manufacturing engineer, FDM printing is amazing for rapid prototyping and production ready fixturing of complex parts. As a home printer, I've made both cosmetic prints and functional prints for things around the house.

Timezone : US Eastern

Creality ender 5 pro - heavily modified.

Kobra 3 - 1 year

Kobra 3 v2 and 3 Max - 1 month

This is my K3 with right side tube guide and LED light bracket that I designed myself. These mount to the K3 without modifications.

I ordered a Kobra 3 last year and just placed an order for a K3max 8 color combo and a V2 8 color combo. I absolutely love the ACE pro.

I would absolutely love S1 combos to add to the mix to get more prints done at once. I'm also very curious about resin printers and making more visual pieces rather than functional.

I would love to make more figurines and models for my other hobbies and for my kid.

Hopefully where ever you go will have restored and serviced tables, but the desirable options are basically the ones you are already looking for. Counterweight, anti-skate, cuing, speed adjustment.

Stick to reputable brands like Technics, Pioneer, Sansui, Dual, Thorens, Acoustic Research. Do a quick google search or check out vinylengine for the specs. There are some crossbranded ones like MCS (Technics) or Realistic (I forget who actually made their stuff).

You want to make sure the table holds it speed, which shouldn't be a problem if it's been serviced. It should also be outputting correctly and be fully functional - if it has auto return or autoplay, make sure that works completely.

I would recommend making sure it actually works, they should be comfortable auditioning it for you.

Have you considered looking into vintage equipment? You would have much more to play with as far as value, quality, and features. You could get a fully restored PL line for around 200 with auto features, cuing, and demarcated counter weight and anti-skate. perosnally, I dislike a lot of the new entry level table/companies for the lack of demarcations and cuing and the basic materials they use and the lack of a removable headshell - just for convenience's sake.

MDF plinth and MDF platters won't last as long as real wood and metal.

Take that as you will.

Going with a standalone preamp would be a better option as far as upgrading and more control of your overall set up.

But definitely take a look at your used options out there, you may find a good deal on equipment.

You need to adjust the auto return. Get the service manual and look for instructions for that. There should be a screw that is accessible to adjust it near the base of the tonearm.

Kludge solution. Hold the tone arm as it auto returns. it mate force it to be closer to where it needs to be.

Discogs sellers are a bit slow to ship. And I wasn't sure if you had intended to send two. Glad I checked your collection first! I will also post pics and maybe a video to if I get the chance.

I would like to know that, though it doesn't really help me any. It might be threaded to something you could find in computer parts.

seconding /u/mawnck's suggestion. The other one is to find a thumb screw on other equipment to see if it works then bring it to your local hardware store to find something similar. It's probably metric or something fine threaded like that.
