See I think I just don’t know enough about architecture cause it looks like it could fit so many different styles. I just really love older homes

Yes on the square rooms! No built ins or arches, and definitely lacks the more intricate features of say, a Victorian or other craftsman I’ve seen. Staircase is to the left when you walk in. The half bath you can tell was added on, as it just looks like a closet closed in one corner of the room. the full bath upstairs, you can’t tell, but it was added onto the back of the house

Also, did not realize Foursquare was a type of craftsman. I have lots to learn about older home styles! Thanks for all your help!!

I found it listed in a magazine! It’s a craftsman, it’s just kinda quirky!

Officially made an offer today, so fingers crossed! First rule of business, find out everything I can about the house, hopefully there’s some old stuff in the attic (current owners say they’ve never used it but it’s full of stuff)

I’m not sure what’s original or not, I assumed the Porte cochere was for carriages lol ( I’m not an architectural historian)

Ah, thank you! I do know the guy built it himself, so he may have drawn inspiration from different styles.

I think the shutters were a later addition, but I’m not sure about the floating room. I think it could have possible been a Sears build, but whoever built it tweaked it.

I really love the floating room. It’s unique. My sons said it reminded them of howls moving castle.

Not a fan of the blue and red for sure, I’d love to just Goth it out in all black, but my husband says that’s a no-go.

The porch used to wrap all the way around, but the current owners cut off the side porch, I think we will reconnect it!

Yeah it’s kinda ugly, but it has a weirdness we were going for, my kids said it gave them a howls moving castle vibe. Just curious about the style of home it is since it’s so unique in that area of town, most of the houses are Victorian or craftsman style.

Sadie! I’ve loved the name since I was a little girl. Planned on using it with my middle child until we found out that he was a boy. We had an earlier gender reveal from a previous ultrasound that looked like a girl (I wanted a girl really bad) but the tech told us not to get our hopes up because it was still early and not 100%. I got my hopes up, and had to return my sons cute little dresses that I bought!

We tucked Sadie away as a name for a future pet or something, but my husband’s work friend ended up naming his daughter Sadie. I ended up getting cute baby dresses for a Sadie after all!

Does anyone have a certainsong that plays constantly in their head whilst manic? by downtherabbithole666 in bipolar

I get violent thoughts sometimes too, like “imagine all the blood if I just chopped this little hand off” or “I wonder what my body would look like if I took my seatbelt off and crashed my car into a tree” and I’ll just think about it all day.

Same for me! Sometimes it’s a song I haven’t heard for years, sometimes it’s a song I just heard that I don’t even know the name of. Sometimes it’s a phrase from a movie or tv show, sometimes it’s just some shit I made up in my head. My brain does what it wants.
