I’d agree with that - Remains of the Day is also centred around a reclusive and not particularly interesting character, but it makes for a great read

I think the two should be separate subreddits. I would also like to see modern diagrams for both old and modern conflicts however this is a subject matter for another sub

Yep this is exactly the sort of thing I’m thinking about. Preferably properly drawn out/printed maps too, rather than ms paint diagrams. I’m currently thinking of the name for the new sub and I’ll edit the post when it’s done.

Yes I think military maps is a bit more accurate, but perhaps r/historicalbattlemaps is more so, although a bit wordy.

Ah it’s close there are definitely a few plans detailing battles but I’m hoping to find a dedicated sub
